The 5 year/100,000-mile formula Mopar Antifreeze/Coolant with HOAT (Hybrid Organic Additive Technology) is the only coolant recommended to be used in the 2002 Jeep Liberty. It's best to run A50% concentration, but don't exceed 70%. When mixing the coolant only used distilled or deionized water or purchase a premixed container. As long as the engine's temperature remains normal, there's no need to open the radiator cap, just look at the coolant recovery bottle and make sure the level is above the cold full mark on the bottle. The only time the cap needs to be removed is when replacing the fluid or checking for freezing. This is because if You fail to tighten the cap properly, the coolant could leak out.
