The initial recommendation from Hyundai for power steering fluid in the 2005 Santa Fe was PSF-3. However, this hasn't been used for a number of years now -- the upgraded recommendation has since become PSF-4. While this can be found relatively inexpensively through many outlets, You've also got other options. PSF-4 is essentially just a generic synthetic power steering fluid, comparable to SP IV automatic transmission fluid without the dye. As such, many retail outlets recommend the use of Prestone Power Steering Fluid, which seems to be their catch all for most vehicles. Will it hurt You Absolutely not. I'd recommend flushing the system and doing a total change though if You're moving away from manufacturer's specs; it's best to have all of one type of fluid in there, instead of mixing around.
