Very little headspace and it is definitely not a car for tall people.
It is a very small SUV in terms of interior space. I am 5’4 and I drive with the seat all the way back. It is very uncomfortable for anyone over 5’10 to be in my car. Part of this is due to the sun roof.

Fun to drive fits in most parking spaces easily.
It is a v6 but does not have much get up and go. I really like everything else about it. The repairs are not really expensive either. Of course it helps having an as mechanic for a son too. My husband is 6'2" and has a bit of a hard time getting in, but I bought the car before I met him, so oh well.

The interesting part about my car is the way it looks in the front.
I have had my car for 7 months now and in the first 5 months I had little to zero issues. I had to fix my AC unit, replace the belts, and change out my gas filter. I bought it used with 2 previous owners, who seemed to have taken pretty good care of it. Now, 7 months in to having my car it has broken down on the side of the highway after driving 12 hours. Pretty reasonable but I am still having a few issues with my car. It tends to be very laggy at times and feels as though it's having a hard time running. Overall, my car is pretty reliable considering its age and how many owners it has had.

It has great mileage and has been in my family for twelve years.
The car has great mileage, I am looking for a new car now because this car has been in my family for years and the car now has almost three hundred thousand miles on it. My family and I took this car on trips throughout the united states and went to Maryland and Illinois. I currently drive this car everyday to college and sometimes road trips.

Great car, in the snow and normal everyday driving.
It is a very reliable SUV barley gives me problems outside of normal wear and tear. It has 190,000 miles on it and still goes great. Only have had tune ups and brakes and the shocks done. It did have a recall but I guess the dealers will fix that with a phone call.

Hyundai with over 100, 000 miles has plenty of room.
I bought it used. I really haven't had any problems with it. My next one will have more comfortable seats. But it runs great. Have no doubt that I can go out now and it will start right up. It is a 6 cylinder so really has the get up and go. It also gets good gas mileage.

Ac needs to blow harder when on high.
The paint came off easily within the first 10 years. Ac compressor gave out. The cooling sometimes takes awhile to cool up.

It will go anywhere in bad weather. It is very dependable. I like the way it drives and the amount of space it has.

Expensive upkeep. But gas efficient.
I got the car used but haven't had any serious issues. It's been dependable. On the down side most parts are expensive and what has needed replaced has been seriously expensive. The a/c compressor. The windshield wipers 3 different sizes. The battery and headlights are a pain to replace only because where they are set under the casing. It hasn't left me stranded ever. Comfortable ride with plenty of room.

Avoid buying...lots of small annoying issues. Spend your money elsewhere.
I dislike the high center of gravity on our twisty mountain roads. Gas mileage is not good. Little, things that cost a lot to fix have broken. The car does not want to start after filling it up with gas, when it is hot it diesels a lot, and it is not the safest vehicle.

Hyundai Santa Fe oldie but goodie.
I find the car runs really good for an older vehicle. It does need some work, due to its age but works very well and does not cost a lot to maintain.

2005 Silver Hyundai Santa Fe.
My air conditioning went out a couple of years ago (about 2 years ago), and it was pretty expensive to fix. My car also had to get fixed twice within the past two months for exhaust and speed sensor problems. Spent about 1700 to repair everything. The gas is pretty pricey as well, but that's to be expected.
accountCircle Tia C on November 25, 2020
It feels like a luxury vehicle without the luxury price tag.
The Santa Fe has been very reliable for me. It has just enough get up and go to navigate traffic easily. The ride could be a little smoother as could be the cabin noise. It is quite roomy and the seats fold down to give you access for moving large objects. I get around 18-21 miles in town driving and 22-28 on the highway. The heated seats are a nice added feature as is the electric controls on the driver's seat to get you just the right position. The only mechanical problem I had was the starter/battery went out, but that is typical maintenance. Overall I recommend as this vehicle is well built and dependable.

It is an older model. It still runs well but it could use a lot of body work.
Needs a lot of work. Could use some new struts. Breaks too. And it is a very noisy vehicle. Possibly beyond repair.
accountCircle Amma S on October 25, 2020
I do not think it is made to the same quality level as a Honda or Toyota. The issues are persistent and difficult to fix.
I like the fact that it is a taller vehicle which makes it easier for me to see. It needs work though as it diesels, hates running in hot weather and very much does not like to start after a fill up! The paint job is terrible. The backseats are not comfortable.

My Journey in my Hyundai Santa Fe and the longevity of my vehicle's lifespan.
My 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe has been an excellent vehicle to own and get me through my travels. It has held up quite nicely for the 141k miles I have driven it up to. As for any car with this amount of miles and the age, some complications have come up. I replaced all the brakes and rotors, replaced the starter twice, replaced the abs module, and had to change the spark plugs. The price, although expensive, has been worth it due to the fact that a new car payment would have been a lot more pricey.
accountCircle Rachel C on October 13, 2020
Tall people will not be comfortable driving my car.
My car seats five. It drives well. Its an automatic. My husband is very tall so his head rubs the inside roof. He has long legs and the seat does not go far enough back for his comfort. The cruise control also does not work properly. It does have a lot of storage in the back.

Very reliable and non problematic car
The car is very reliable and has had little to no problems since we have gotten it from my mother in law. It handles really nicely and does well on many terrains, including mountain roads and the snow. The only problem we have had is a noise coming from the engine but a mechanic has checked it out and said nothing was wrong with it. The gas mileage is about average, we don't do a whole lot of driving so it has been great for us

The Hyundai Santa Fe: worth a second look.
I bought my car used in 2007, and it has been completely reliable the entire time. I have had to replace the battery twice and the tires twice in the 11 years I have had it. Since it is an older model, I have to use a Bluetooth for GPS, so I am ready to get a new car so I can have factory GPS. Mine has a sunroof, and I was told by friends that it would probably leak after a while because the rubber molding seal would dry up and deteriorate. This has not been the case at all. I have had no problems with the sunroof. The power locks all continue to work perfectly, so does the air conditioner, heater, radio, CD player, cruise control, etc.. I even have a lighted drivers side mirror that has never had to be fixed or the bulb to be replaced. I looked into other makes and models, but through talking with friends and family, I discovered most luxury models are not only expensive to purchase, but also expensive to fix every time you have to take it to the shop. Since I have had such few issues with my Santa Fe, I haven't had to worry about how much the parts cost to replace or repair. I have been very happy with this car, and will look into purchasing another Santa Fe when I go to purchase a new one.

Vehicle is a nice size for a small family (2 parents/2 small children). Has enough room for luggage for everyone and back seats fold down so that larger objects can be moved with it. Reliable and fun
I had to leave a comment for this vehicle. I have never owned a Hyundai, but I have owned a lot of cars. Let me just remind everyone reading this, this car is 15 years old. It still is probably, I'm betting, as smooth down the road as when it came of the factory floor. The only 2 problems I've had and due to age, was the starter and battery. Let me tell you folks, I'm impressed. I own 2 Mercedes Benz and a Subaru sti and I drive this instead, it's that good. Well my next car will definitely be a Hyundai. I really like the g70. But anywho thanks for letting me rant, but wow.

Hyundai is a wonderful car.
Right before 100, 000 miles the transmission had to be replaced. It was still under warranty. The dealership was horrible to deal with, but the company was very helpful. Check your dealership's record before you buy. No problems, it drives well, steers well, very comfortable and roomy. Love it.

Turning radius, and special features
I have made sure I keep up with routine maintenance, oil change, tire rotation ect. I wish I got a bit better gas mileage but it's an SUV so I don't expect 40 mpg. I love the fact it can turn on a dime. You can unlock all the doors from the passenger side. You can roll up the windows after the car is shut off as long as no one opens any of the doors

It was a great choice of purchase.
There is no problem with my vehicle, it runs great, good gas mileage. Only normal maintenance is required as necessary such as changing motor oil, changing the spark plugs and wires and the battery. And of course always check your fluids such as, brake fluid, motor oil, power steering and transmission oil. Having good tires is always a plus, makes the vehicle drive like bra and new! Its has been very reliable without leaving me stranded, thank god!! I am comfortable driving my vehicle and no one has complained about being uncomfortable while being a passenger. Features are good but with a all the updated choices now, I can use the updates.

2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, reliable for age.
Although the car is older it still drives great. The frame is pretty rusted through. The seats are leather and heated. It is comfortable to ride in and drives smooth. My car, for the most part, has been extremely reliable. I have been driving it for over ten years and have taken all over the US. It handled multiple 15 hours trips a year and a road trip from New York to California. My car can easily tackle the hills of San Francisco. During a time when I was not driving the car often, it ran into a few problems. But once I started using it weekly again ( city driver, only need it for weekends) it has been great since. Good acceleration and control
The Hyundai Santa Fe performs well with good acceleration and handling. The vehicle has so far been reliable, except a few issues with tire pressure. Although I don't know if that can be attributed to the car itself. One time the windshield wiper fluid mechanism malfunctioned. Other than these minor issues, the car has been extremely comfortable and reliable. I appreciate the ability to transport my friends and carry a decent amount of things in the back.

It is automatic 4 wheel drive.
I like it because it is 4 wheel drive. I dislike it because the back hatch has a problem staying up sometimes.

Hyundai Santa fe has proven to be a dependable car
I bought my car used and have had it over 3 years. I put on about 50,000 miles before I had to make any repairs. Nothing major has gone wrong it's been a very dependable car for my family. We drove it to move to Florida from RI 1,400 miles with no problems. I have moved large items with it like a couch and a treadmill. The back seats fold down to allow tons of room to fix things in which has come in handy many times. When it comes time for a newer car I'll be looking at another Hyundai since I've had good luck with this one. I was rear-ended in it and no one was seriously hurt and we got hit pretty hard the other car was half way under us. I keep up with the oil changes and tires and in the time I've had it I finally had to replace the battery and was shocked to find out it was the original factory batter from 2005 still there. The car seems to be made with quality parts as they have lasted and now as I'm making some replacements I'm finding out they are all original parts so this means that the car has run smooth without repairs since 2005 and now only due to its age is now starting to need some things fixed but I must say I have never been stranded the problems were always gradual and obvious but I was always able to still drive it until it got repaired.

Great car for the money worth the investment.
The only problem is that it rides a little like a truck. The reliability is excellent. It's very comfortable. I never regret the purchase of this vehicle. My only suggestions would be to spring for upgrades. It's definitely worth it. The leg room on the passenger side could be more. The back seats too are a bit cramped.

My car. Luggage rack, very roomy, super smooth on the road
I have been driving my car for 15 years it has made many road trips I am very happy with the gas Mileage. It is very comfortable, I love the SUV part I can haul anything I want the cruise is very convenient. I always felt that with sedans you have to crawl in and out SUV's you just step in and out. Best of all it has over 15000 miles and no repairs have been needed

It doesn't get particularly great gas mileage and has high maintenance costs.
It is an all right vehicle though it is somewhat expensive to keep running. I like its compact size most of the time, and its roominess. I'm not too pleased with how much maintenance it requires.

It makes a loud cracking sound when you turn and stalls when it idles too long.
My car fits me, with the way it's designed on the inside. There are several issues with the car I need to fix and that is what I dislike about it.

Great on gas spacious reliable 4wd
I like that it's good on gas spacious has great air. I just got mine in March but I love it so far. Mine has 4wd and is super clean inside and out. I don't like the way the back seat belts are

Roomy leg space in the back seat for traveling. Very comfortable.
Reasonable on gas. Roomy. Comfy drive. Good in the snow

It does have good air conditioning. I will not buy another.
I bought it used and I really do not like it. It is small and does not haul a lot. The interior is cramped even for a short person like myself.

That it's very good & thrifty, cute & energy-conscious.
The car runs well for the model year and mileage. The fuel economy is not as high as I would like. I like the size of the vehicle.
