The amount of time You can expect out of Your 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe is really proportional to the amount of care that You're going to put into it. It's difficult to give an "expectancy", because that insinuates that You're expecting something; I'd say that the best You can hope for, if everything breaks Your way, is around 300,000 miles. Of course, this may vary. With average maintenance, You're more likely looking at slightly above 200,000 miles. With exceptional care and meticulous fluid changes, You're probably looking at around 250,000 miles. Getting to 300,000 or more requires a little bit of luck and careful driving on top of the maintenance factors, but if You're lucky, the theoretical limit of how high You can take Your Santa Fe is very impressive.

My 08 has 253,000 mi. With no rest and is running extremely well, very few repairs. With out a doubt best car I've ever owned.

2008 Santa Fe 370,000 miles and still going. No major problems. Will need a new catalytic converter soon, CEL for catalyst efficiency came on recently. But can't complain given the mileage. Other than replacing a fuel pump, everything has been routine maintenance. I'veeven been using extended life synthetic and changing oil every 15-20k miles which many people scoff at. I can't say that the longevity of the vehicle has been all luck, it has to be good engineering.
