The key fob for a 2014 Honda CR-V uses a CR1616 3-volt coin cell battery. To change the battery You will need a MINI Phillips head screwdriver. Turn the fob over and place the screwdriver in the screw on the back, Rotate the screw counterclockwise until it comes out. Now You have to pry the top and bottom halves apart. There is a slot on one of the sides, put a small flat blade screwdriver in the slot and twist it. Work Your way around the sides until the two pieces separate. Use that same screwdriver and slide it under the battery to pop it out. Make sure You put the new battery in the correct way, the positive side facing down.

The owner's manual states "CR1620", and that is what was in my key fob.

I just opened my key fob (since it's dead) and it is 1620. Ordered new battery today.
