The 2015 Ford Explorer fuel filter location is found by watching: https://www.Youtube.com/watch?v=2TWzMajLQXw Having the fuel burn efficiently is the key to maximizing Your miles per gallon. Your gas tank needs to be in the beSTShape. You will come into problems at some point. The gas cap can become stuck and will be quite a hassle to deal with. There could be gas leaks, which need to be looked into pronto. The gas tank can become loose. A faulty control valve may arise. Car parts will eventually become ineffective. The fuel filter needs to be changed every 30,000 miles. If it doesn't, You will come across problems with the performance.

On the 2015 ford explorer the fuel filter is located inside of the gas tank, on the back left of the vehicle.

FYI…the YouTube video link above is for a 1999 ford explorer 4.0l so it’s definitely not correct for the question regarding the location of the fuel filter on 2015 ford explorer. Others already mentioned that it’s inside the fuel tank and they’re indeed correct. However, if you want to take it a step further, you can always purchase an inline fuel filter of some sort as long as the filter is able to accommodate the fuel line size. If you’re ever in doubt, buy an adapter kit for fuel lines and they’ll come with the variety of barb fittings that will certainly entertain the size of your fuel line. The DIY person that maintains his/her own vehicles and any other thing in life, to be clear, is dissipating as the years pass because things are more and more difficult when all a person wants to dois take care of their own vehicle and not have to come out of a garage in a wheelchair because they just gave an arm and a leg for flipping procedure that was routine and entry level for the DIY’er not even 10 years ago. It’s BS and we all know it so the lease we can do to combat this garbage is to try and offer accurate advice the best we can.

The dealership told me the whole pump has to be replaced and not just the filter. That seems wrong to me.
