The 2016 Ram 1500 doesn't have a cabin filter. Being a sweaty mess is never a great time. That's why the air conditioner needs to be functioning. You will face issues with this part at some time. The motor could become faulty. An inaccurate thermostat might come about. A nasty odor from the vents will cause issues with Your comfort. A fan can become loose. A Freon leak will give You the sweats. You will come across a few annoying noises from the air conditioner. Loose mounting bolts will become a nuisance. A bad compressor will get noisy. Too much Freon will make this happen. These sounds need to be look into quickly or You will lose Your mind.

For those 2016 Ram 1500 models without the cabin air filter door (located behind the glove box door), a retrofit mod kit can be obtained from Mopar so that a filter can be inserted into the closed off filter slot.

Not all models from 2016 came equipped with a door for the air filter. A retrofit kit is available
