In the United States, the 2018 Mitsubishi RVR is known as the Outlander Sport. It does not have a listed towing capacity, as Mitsubishi specifically recommends against using it for this purpose. However, the similar 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander is available with two different engines -- the 2.4L i-4 is capable of towing 1,500 pounds, while the 3.0L V6 has a towing upside of 3,500 pounds. If You'd like to risk it for the biscuit, as they say, You can mate similar numbers to the lower 1,500 pound figure with the Sport, but it's not recommended. If You have the smaller 2.0L i-4 available in the sport, I'd stick to payload -- the marginal benefit of being able to tow somewhere around a quarter to a half ton is not worth the damage You'll likely cause to Your transmission.
