The OBD2 port in a 2019 Ford Ranger is located to the left of the steering wheel, just below the fuse box. There is a slot in the panel above the hood release lever that You have to pull out on to get access to it. Once the panel is removed You'll see the OBD2 port right hood release lever. The OBD2 port is also known as the onboard diagnostic port. It is used to diagnose and reset trouble codes. A OBD to scan tool is plugged into the port and communicates with the computer to determine what is wrong with the vehicle. With the complexities of today's vehicles, it's usually the only way to know what is wrong.

On my 2019 US Ranger, the connector is BELOW the fuse cover, and has a black plastic dust cover in the socket. Opening the fuse cover actually hides & blocks the OBD.
