The general life expectancy for the Dodge Ram 1500 is 15 years. If You keep up with the manufacturer's suggested maintenance while also making sure You keep up with major services and regular oil changes, The Dodge Ram should last You well over 100k miles. These trucks are designed to last a long time. There are some things You can do while You own to car to make it last longer. Don't ignore gauges, Lights, or Alerts. Ignoring these warning lights could leave You stranded on the side of the road or cause extensive and expensive damage to Your vehicle if You continue to drive. Keep an eye on Your fluids and check them regularly. Change Your air filters. Inspect and Rotate Tires.

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with 385,000. Original transmission and Hemi Engine. It doesn’t leak anything. I’m on my 3rd radiator.Radiators have last about 120,000. I used conventional oil for about the first 100,000 miles and have used Mobil 1 Synthetic ever since. I change oil about every 5,000 miles. I also let it warm up

Could anybody help me diagnose what’s wrong with my 1999? It stalled on me other day and couldn’t get it started and found it wasn’t getting spark so changed the coil and it started. Now it’s just running like c**p and sounds like c**p. Seems like it’s missing or something it’s just real sluggish and kinda putting. I changed spark plugs and wires but still not running right. Any guesses would be very appreciated.

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 with 237000.. I've been investigating a low oil pressure problem for several years. I bought the truck with 24000 miles on it. Multiple shops told me I wouldn't need a new engine very soon. They started telling me that at 165000 miles. But she still purrs like a kitten and drives like brand new. Apparently it doesn't mind the low oil pressure.

2004 ram 1500slt 4.7 5 speed manual 4x4 340,000 miles rebuilt rear end 100,000 miles ago changed clutch and radiator once alternator once and it was going strong till yesterday I blew clutch again but I was pulling a 1974 school bus lol. I have seriously beat this truck from day 1 I got it in 2005 I abused this thing in every way . It’s been main work truck pulling trailers across western states hunting truck I chipped it and changed exhaust and it got street raced still does and it keeps on jamming. Best truck I ever had. I hate the cv axles though I have been through a lot of front shocks cv axles and front driveshafts but I’ve jumped it and been a lot of rough places I shouldn’t have and it’s got me home every time but once when front hub assembly gave way about 5000 miles back
