The Dodge Ram 1500 series PCM can be found in the engine compartment on the right side of the firewall. This controls all of the functions of Your engine and powertrain for the truck. If Your vehicle is running rough one of the first things You should check is the PCM. The best way to check this is by using an OBD II scan tool to see if there are any codes or software bugs that have been detected. If there are You can repair the faults and then it should work normally again. In rare instances it is possible for the computer to completely fail and it will need to be replaced if it does.
