If You are looking for the fuel filter on the 2004 Nissan Sentra, I've got some news for You. The fuel filter on the Sentra is located inside the gas tank. Not only is it located inside of the gas tank but it is part of the fuel pump assembly. The news I'm about to tell You might shock You a bit. The fuel filter is nonserviceable. What this means is that You cannot take the fuel filter apart from the fuel pump assembly. If the fuel filter does fail, You will need to replace the entire fuel pump assembly. If You are sure that this is the culprit to Your fuel system issues, then make sure that a mechanic replaces the part for You.

The fuel filter in your 2004 nissan sentra vehicle is either located inside the fuel pump and considered a non-serviceable component of your car's maintenance, or externally to the gas tank, where routine maintenance is required.

It is okay if the fuel pump assembly and non serviceable. I had changed my pump a couple years ago cost me 300 is easy to replace just remove back seat unscrew a few screws and it lifts right out. Down side to such easy repair is the fuel pumps are ridiculously priced had to replace it again this past week 200 out of my pocket on something that should have lasted years longer
