Code p018c in a Ram 1500 means the computer has detected an issue coming from the fuel pressure sensor. It is located on the fuELRail at the back of the engine near the firewall. When the sensor fails it will cause a ECU to not send the correct amount of fuel the engine and will make it difficult to start, eventually not at all. A new sensor will cost between $65 and $95, it's pretty easy to do Yourself with MINImal tools You need to remove the air tube and engine cover. Once You locate the sensor disconnect the electrical connection and release the tab to remove it from the fuELRail. Finally using a fuel line tool release it from the fuel line. A shop will charge between $145 to $250 in labor costs for the job.

Code p018c is set when the pcm detects a low fuel pressure sensor signal. This usually indicates the circuit is shorted.
