On the Acura TL, as well as other OBD-II enabled vehicles, diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P145C indicates that there is an issue with the fuel tank pressure sensor. It can be caused by a few different problems, but all are easily traced back to the sensor itself -- You'll either have a bad sensor, an open or shorted harness, or another issue with the electrical connection. In order to fully diagnose, You'll need to first gain access to the fuel tank pressure sensor. This can be a bit difficult, but You'll need to for a replacement anyway. While You're there, You may want to check wiring with a digital multimeter, in order to confirm that the sensor is the component that's failed. All in all, the swap should not be too difficult.

If your Acura TL throws a P145C code there could be a problem with your vehicle's EVAP canister purge valve connection.

Hi, question . So I replace the fuel cap and the purge valve sensor reset the battery and the check emission system light comes on again.
