What's the replacement cost for a 2013 Ford f150 lead frame ?

I had the recall done on my 2013 F150 in 2019 haven’t had a problem until last week. Drive 45 miles and hour and trans downshifted into 1st gear almost lost control. Took the truck to local cord dealer and they told me about the extend warranty on the lead frame and said they would check my truck. Got a call back from them they told me the tech said all of the issues lead him to believe the lead frame is bad but no codes in the computer so they can’t replace it under the warranty. I started a case withFord motor company. Let’s see how far I get with ford.

The sudden downshift happened to my truck. For some reason it didnt show up on the computer. Ford informed me that it wasnt a recall but a warranty extension and that they wont fix it because its not on computer

Shouldnt cost you a dime if you take to dealership it’s a Ford recall issue, they sent out mailers a few years ago explaining the problem but weren’t going to replace the lead frame until the issue started happening to your vehicle and they extended drivetrain warranty to 10 years or 150,000 miles. So unless you have over 150,000 miles they will repair at no charge.

Been waiting 2 months from ford to fix my transmission leaf frame no parts .disappointed

Just had the Lead frame replaced at my dealer on 08\16\2022. 2013 F 150, 123,635 miles, there was no charge It had to be ordered and came in after about 3 weeks. It was showing the wrench and throwing code PO722.

My 2013 F150 has 159,000 miles the dealer says $2400 to replace it.

There is a way u can still get a lead frame ask for a new valve body the lead frame is part of that part number but the valve body is not part of the recall so you will have to pay for it at least u get a lead frame

Picked one up yesterday at local ford dealer. $210.00. Put it in yourself. It’s an easy job. Pull off pan, then I think 8 bolts. But you better make sure you don’t have a bad shift solenoid. Or you will be pulling it again.

Mine is currently in the shop waiting for the part on backorder. Completely covered by the extended 10 year 150k mile warranty.

Just went to local Ford dealer they said part was on back order. Called 35 dealers in California all on back order. One dealer told me there is 15,000 back orders on file and they only have 480 Leadfames that there sending out at the end of month. It could be 6 months to a year. Ford has no answer just says that's the way it is

2013F150 143K miles transmission jumping and sticking....have OBD comp (personal and one from local FORD certified mechanic) and codes relating to TSB and this part. FORD dealer had me make an appointment to get DIAG. $179. Part on BO retail at $199 per parts counter. Took it in and dealer told me I would have to wait about a week and half as there were 28 other cars needing DIAG. (WTF did i get an appointment)?

I've been waiting for lead frame for over 6 months. Truck has been sitting at dealership the entire time. Pretty sad ford can't have parts for their products especially when they know there is a problem.

My 2013 started having issues. I have the BlueDriver OBDII scan tool. It threw a bunch of codes. So I goggle them and found out about the extended warranty. I left it at my dealer here in Oklahoma, they said it was the issue and it is covered. Unfortunately no ETA on the part. I told them to make a note that I want the filter replaced as well. So now I wait. I am going to retire, buy I had to postpone and I sure don't need or want a new truck. Angela, how many miles are on your truck? Do you do a lot of towing?

My f150 2013 limited lead frame was just replaced by the dealer for free. It had a 150,000 mile 10yr warranty

I have had my truck at lithia ford for 3 months waiting for the leadframe sensor part. I could have purchased one and done it myself if I would have known they would stall me this long

Job is covered under the extended warranty on my 2013. Truck is at 24 Ford of Easton, MA. Unfortunately, as of today, 11/29/22, i have been waiting 7 weeks and there's no end in sight; Molded lead frame still on back order with no date.

Mine is being replaced currently at no charge.

Never was told it was under warranty. Out of warranty now part is bad. Warranty is over and, they won’t fix it. I have to pay out of pocket.

Last Ford I’ll ever own it’s been over 3 months waiting for parts. I got a million response just worded differently. Pretty frustrating. No loaner car from dealership. It’s just my truck with newer tires and brakes just sitting there getting flat spots on the tires and rusted new brakes because I dropped it off during the winter. It just makes me sick. I really don’t think there starting it and moving it to a different spot once per week.

My F150 has same symptoms… problem starts with odd downshifting, then rear cross traffic sensor malfunction light, then wrench, then check engine light and now sometimes battery light. Some condenser fires up. The gear shifter display disappears. In those cases, U stop turn car off and it won’t start. It takes 30 seconds to reset (?). Sounds similar to above issues, but mine is a 2017. 35,000 miles. No apparent warranty for 2017 (wtf?). Dealer has lead frame on order now for 9 months…”no earthly idea when it will come in”. Quote: $1100. I have completely soured on FoMoCo.

Waiting for that part since nov 2 2022! Received the part Monday March 6 2023 Had an appointment Tuesday 7 Am and now it’s Friday Pm and still not repaired!

Corin Ford Middletown did verify my 2013 Ford F 150 needs the Lead Frame replaced & they have no ideal on when they will get the part. They have several trucks that have been waiting over 30 days for the Part. .My other concerns is on a very cold day on my instrument panel it will show Hill Descent control Fault & I am unable to steer the truck until after it warms up & I Turn the truck off then restart it. Also, on the panel after I hit Ok it shows Service advance tract & then it shows Power steering Assist Fault. Out of 4 different cold days one time it also showed Low Battery Temporary turn off. Is all this a separate problem from the Lead Frame. If it is then what needs to be done. The service Dept acts like they are not too concern.

This is nothing but way to get money.Mines missed up and two dealers with a 15 mile radius is 500.00 dollars difference for the same service.

Mine cost 1600 at Coleraine Ford in February, it was the second time it had been replaced on this truck. Now transmission is complete failure
