How much it will cost to replace the battery in a key fob for a 2015 Chevy Volt depends on whether You do it Yourself or take it to the dealer and have them do it for You. The Volt uses a CR2032 3 Volt coin cell battery. You can buy a battery for under $5 on Amazon or other online retailer. Some dealers will charge up to $15 per battery. It will only take a few seconds to swap out the batteries but You could expect to pay up to $50 just to have the dealer do it for You. Open up the key blade and pry the top off with Your fingers, it comes apart fairly easily. Now pop out the battery and replace with a new one period make sure the positive side of the battery is facing up before You replace the cover.
