The Toyota Prius v has a total towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds. It haS525 pounds of tongue weight, which is measured at the trailer hitch. This vehicle uses A-Class 1 hitch, and can have one customized for the electric car. It is capable of pulling weights from loaded small trailers, small to medium sized campers, and even boats and all terrain vehicles of varying sizes.

What Thomas said. Marie's answer is inaccurate, though I wish it was true.

Maria B’s answer comes from a website that sells a tow hitch that has specs saying 525 lbs for the tongue weight and 3,500 lbs for towing. But those weights have an asterisk by them and then you go to the bottom of the website and it says that that’s the specs for the hitch, NOT the car. And to check the owners manual for the real capacity.
