The cabin air filter for a 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 is going to be located behind the glove box. You will need to use a phillips head screwdriver in order to access it. Open the glove boxAnd then on both sides there will be a screw You need to undo. After that the outer section of the glove box should pop right out and there will be a black box inside. Inside of this box is where the cabin filter is going to be. You will need to replace this filter out around every 30,000 miles. A new filter will cost between $10 and $30.

There is no cabin filter on 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 unless the previous owner cut into the filter area and installed one. GM stopped including cabin air filters in Silverado’s in 2003.

The cabin air filter for a chevy silverado 1500 can be found behind the lower housing of the glove box. You will need a screwdriver to remove the housing.

No filter on 2011, but Fram has a retro fit that you can install. It's a bit of work if you want to install one.

You are all right and you are all wrong. The 2007-2013 silverados have cabin filters depending on the model trim (LS,LT, LTZ, work truck, etc). LS and WT do not have the cabin air filters. An LT and LTZ MAY HAVE a filter if your vehicle had the upgraded climate control. When people say they sell them for Silverado it is because of these trims that do have them.

My 2011 LTZ has a cabin air filter. It’s located where they say it is. It’s hell to change but I’ve changed three of them!

Leave it to the engineers to screw this up, just cut out where there should have been a filter...no filter. Watched enough videos to be sure I had an idea what to do here...flipping waste of time other than I now have a cabin filter with aftermarket bracket. Never would have touched this had I known.

I have my 2011 1500 torn apart right now. No cabin air filter. I have the LS. I'm guessing it depends on your body style. Good luck guys!

I talked to a chevy dealer ship. They told me some 2011 Silverado's do and some do not . I belive it depends on the Boddy stile.
