The canister purge solenoid valve is located in the EVAP canister, above the rear of the muffler on the 2013 Ford F-150. But why is a purge valve so important. Well simply put the canister purge valve, also commonly referred to as the purge valve, is an important component of Your Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) system. This system restricts the fuel vapors created in Your fuel tank from escaping into the atmosphere by trapping them in a charcoal canister. The average cost for a 2013 Ford F-150 purge valve replacement is between $220 and $240. Labor costs are estimated between $50 and $60 while parts are priced between $180 and $190.

The evac canister is not above the rear of the muffler. I have a 2013 F150 ecoboost. Lie on the ground on the drivers side between the 2 doors and you will see it attached to the frame. The solenoid value is on the front bumper end.

It's located on the top half of the engine front and centered. Open the hood and stand in the middle of the vehicle facing the cab and look down about 100 degrees and you'll see it. It's the only visible item with a green and black quick disconnect on it.

I'm having the evap purge valve code pop up for me as well in my 2013 f150 3.5L eco. I was of the opinion that the purge valve was located on the drivers side part of the engine. I just purchased this part. I need more clarity on this! There seems to be so many different opinions on how to correct this issue. I have the P144C code stating the EVAP purge valve is 'stuck open'. Im going to change the part out on the engine today and hopefully that fixes it.
