Where is the spare tire located in the 2019 Toyota 4Runner?

On all 5th generation Toyota 4Runner models (including the 2019 model year), You'll find the spare tire stowed below the rear end of the vehicle. In order to access it, You'll need to remove Your jack handle from Your spare tire replacement kit, which is found behind an access panel on the rear driver's side of the cargo area. There are three pieces to the spare tire arm tool -- two of which You'll connect together length wise, and a third that You'll use for torsion. Once assembled, You'll need to fish the tool into the access hole located just to the left of Your liftgate latch. Once it's in place, use the torsion part to turn counterclockwise, and the spare tire will release and lower.
