Short circuits are common in Audio systems, and the location of which can be determined by gathering whether a single speaker, a group of speakers, or the entire system has failed. If none of Your speakers are working, it's likely that there's an issue with Your Audio out -- somewhere between the head unit and the output of Your amplifier.
