The main reason for the camera in 2015 Ford Taurus backup camera to stop working is a blown up fuse or a loose wire harness. Another reason the camera is not working is a weak or low battery not providing the required amperes for proper camera functioning. If the battery is low, then take it for a long drive and once the battery is sufficiently charged, the camera will start working again. It is normally okay to drive the car without the parking assist camera working. But in case You rely solely on the camera for backing up Your car, then it is advisable to get it repaired as soon as possible. The back up camera replacement for this car will cost You between $550 and $650.

Owners of the 2015 ford taurus may complain of backup camera malfunction, including a sudden loss of picture. Check your wiring and attempt of reset of the vehicle's software to correct the issue.

I just replaced my camera today in 5 short minutes and problem fixed. I tried software and hardware resets, fuses resets, battery negative removed to drain memory and also reseated wires and nothing worked until I finally purchased a third party replacement on amazon for $72 and Problem Solved! Would have cost easy $600 at Ford or elsewhere.

The OEM price for this camera is ubsurd.I definintly recommend using a OEM camera, but OEM cameras can be found on Ebay for under $200. Another attempt by Ford to rake there customers over the coals.
