It is smooth riding. It gets good mileage. Very comfortable car to ride in. I enjoy this vehicle very much. It has not given me any problems over the years with just keeping up with basic maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotation and basic maintenance every 3500 miles.
Mileage is very good. It has a lot of space and is a reliable car. I will definitely stick with ford. You have to be used to big cars when buying this vehicle or driving it. There's a lot of cars that look nice, but don't end up satisfying.
The pros for this vehicle include its durability and longevity. With over 100,000 miles I have put on this car, I have not needed to bring it into a shop for more than oil changes and new tires. It also gets great gas mileage and has awesome highway handling.
The visibility when making a left hand turn is not very good. You have to stretch your neck to see. The heat in the vehicle takes much longer to warm up unlike the smaller cars that heat up the car very quickly. This is bad in the winter months. Also the defrost on the windows take longer to clear the fog so you can see where you are going.
The vehicles looks date from a earlier era, and to some buyers that can be a turn off that causes them to move on to a newer vehicle. Of course, if this is the case then the 2008 and 2009 editions of the used ford Taurus are right there waiting to be discovered.
Accelerated faster than any car that I have owned and that takes some getting used to. At first I caught myself speeding without even realizing it. After I drove it for a couple of weeks though, I was able to get a hang of the engine and acceleration speed.
The 2015 Ford Taurus has an average owner rating of 4.40 out of 5 which ranks it #8 of 8 other Large Cars.
