When the touch screen is not working in a 2018 GMC Terrain it is usually caused by the infotainment system freezing up. To solve this problem You will need to press in on the volume knob while the vehicle is on and hold it until the screen turns off and back on. If that does not solve the problem and the screen is not on You will want to check the fuse to the radio. The main fuse is located in the fuse panel under the dash on the driver's side. If the fuses are fine then check the wiring on the back of it to make sure that nothing has came loose. If all of those are fine then You will usually need to replace the head unit.

The screen will randomly select and call from my contacts and also switch stations randomly.

Peggy, my screen is doing the same thing. Randomly calling my contacts, changing radio station. Did you find out what caused your problem? Mine happens everytime I get into my car now. System just randomly starts scrolling through my contacts.

If the touch screen on the 2018 gmc terrainis not working it may not be getting power, or the screen may be to d***y to take inputs.

My 2018 GMC Sierra, infotainment system had stopped working. The Screen was working fine (when I put the truck in reverse the picture to the rear camera showed up) it was just blank since the infotainment portion was not being powered. I checked the blue connection wire behind the glove box, reset it in case, but it did not change anything. Next, I disconnected the negative ground on my battery, reconnected about 10 minutes later and it was back to normal.

I had the same problem with my screen not coming on. I turned the car off and on a fee times with no difference. I left it to sit with the car off for 5 minutes and then crunk the car. After that it worked again. I have noticed that the blank infotainment center occurs more often when the remote start function is used. I have also had the radio randomly select different stations and contacts, but that stopped when I cleaned the screen. Hope this helps.
