If Your 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 has an issue that gives a clicking sound while attempting to start is normally one of three things-a broken starter motor, a poor link between the battery and the starter motor, or a blown fuse (if present) between the starter and the battery. The battery could also be dead or require a replacement as well but You will want to check the connections and fuses first. The FIrst thing You want to do is check the battery terminals and then open up the fuse panel to see if there are any blown fuses or relays. After that, You will want to check to see if the battery can get a charge/jump and finally check the starter motor.

My dodge 2014 1500 Ram has an intermittent starting problem. Sometimes I turn the key. I can hear a click in front of the steering wheel, but the truck won’t turn over and if I turn the key just write my truck won’t start what is the cause of that.

The source of the 2014 dodge ram 1500 that clicks while attempting to start is normally one of three things-a broken starter motor, a poor link between the battery and the starter motor, or a blown fuse (if present) between the starter and the battery. If the starter doesn't turn, you have a problem with the charging circuit that powers the solenoid.
