If Your Dodge Ram 1500 can turn over but not start, You are most likely dealing with a failed starter motor, fuel pump, and in some cases weak battery. One of the symptoms of a bad starter is a clicking noise when You turn the key. However, a starter can die without making any sound at all, or it may announce its impending death with whirring and grinding noise. You may also notice a decrease in fuel efficiency, acceleration, and power in Your vehicle if Your fuel pump is damaged. You may also hear a whining noise from the fuel tank.

If your dodge ram 1500 turns over but won't start, it is typically an issue with the charging system, either a low battery or faulty alternator.
