While there are a variety of reasons Your Dodge Ram 1500 won't start I would have to say a dead battery, an alternator problem, or a failed starter is probably the cause of Your starting troubles. A car's starter is one of the most important engine components. It is a small electric motor that engages the engine when the driver turns the key. A bad starter is just one possible reason an engine won't start, but there are symptoms that can help pinpoint a problem with a starter. Replacing a car starter averages $340 to $560. The labor cost, on average, runs $130 to $160, while parts cost $220 to $400. Making replacing a car starter a fairly expensive repair.

If a Dodge Ram 1500 won't start you will want to check the battery and the starter motor.

If your dodge ram 1500 won't start, it could be an issue with the charging system, either a low battery or faulty alternator.
