When the backup camera is not working properly in Your 2011 Cadillac SRX the first thing that You will want to do is reset the head unit. When the software gets frozen it can prevent the backup camera from working properly. The next thing to check is that the reverse switch is working properly. If this fails then it will not send the signal to the camera to turn on. The last thing that You should check is the camera itself. If it is damaged or the wiring is loose to it then that can result in the camera not turning on and working when You need to go in reverse.
