I have enjoyed and loved my X3. It is the perfect smaller SUV and has been a joy to take road trips in. I have always felt safe a and secure and there on demand four wheel drive has been very handy when driving in the mountains with snow and ice. The controls are simple and classy. The car as a whole, has been a great investment.
Very good reliable car. Extremely well built. Good engine. Good power. Safe. Very high performance on highway. Very quiet cabin. Good gas mileage. Solid the paint quality is high. No rust on the car. Driver seat is very comfortable.
The most important for me is the Power engine. Besides its a very Safety car. Its comfortable, well designed interior with high quality materials. It's an excellent all-wheel-drive system. I love the design.
Sleekness of the design and finish of how the car is built with the seat warmers. However, if driven too often it starts to break down and have issues. Also not the best air circulation for people sitting in the back seat of the vehicle.
There have been a few recalls but BMW handles all off that smoothly so it was really easy. The main con with all BMWs is the cost of maintenance and service. It is expensive! Additionally it would be great if this car was a hybrid or electric because premium gas in California is also expensive.
It is quite expensive to maintain. It runs on premium gas. I do not know about the resistance of the car under very low temperature. I sometimes, have hard time to open the driver's door and will not shut down properly unless I let the car run to warm up the cabin. The windows will not open during very cold weather.
In my opinion, it has very expensive parts when you need to replace something that is broken. But if you can afford, it's the best car to be a owner. Some may find the suspension too stiff and unforgiven.
Not the best air circulation for people sitting in the back seat of the vehicle especially in the summer. Also leather seats are not the best in the summer when the light makes it too warm to have bare skin touch the seat because of the heat.
The 2007 BMW X3 has an average owner rating of 4.09 out of 5 which ranks it #3 of 3 other Luxury Compact SUVs.
