It is red in color. This is my favorite color for a car.
This is a good vehicle if you have to travel. It's really good on gas. It is easy to drive. Even though when something goes wrong the parts a expensive, but I have not had any major issues yet and had it for 6 years now. It has more room than you think. I fit a lot of stuff in it.

Good with flaws and great head turner.
Love it! Except engine goes bad with regular gas. Great on gas mileage and small and compact. It does not like hills or big people. It handles confuse people on back doors due to location. It can drift well due to its size and handling. Love it love it!

Reliable compact yet spacious.
My Chevy spark has been super reliable on gas. Maintaining the oil changes have been quite pricey, but BC I have learned to change it, the car is easily accessible to maintaining it myself. The seats have been quite comfortable yet a bit concerning when exposed to sun concerning cracks. It is quite spacious for such a compact vehicle. I would prefer a the speed to be able to accelerate at a quicker pace. The color pops, quite easy to be seen in the road. Enjoy very much the quality sound speakers.

Small on the outside but very roomy on the inside
I love my Chevy Spark! It may look small on the outside but it is very roomy on the inside. People have told me that they are very comfortable in the back seat & my driver seat is very comfortable. I would say my car is very reliable. I drive 50 miles each day for work & never had any problems.

It a very small car it seats 4 people. He has leather seats in it.
I really like my car it's very saving on gas. It only hold about 20 dollars worth it's has 4. Seat belts and a very deep trunk. The one think I don't know about it doesn't have a spare tire.
accountCircle Colleen H
The gas mileage is amazing and it is a great car.
I love the size of my vehicle and how it runs. It is the perfect fit for me as a college student. It also gets great gas mileage.
accountCircle Karen N
My car fits anywhere. When I say everywhere it is everywhere. Great for parking.!
I love my car. It is not a very big car but it gets places without needing much gas. Fills up the tank with 20 dollars. It has everything I need. Only thing I would change is the radio function to have the access to CD player not just radio and auxiliary cord.
accountCircle Marion R
Money Saving Spark is exactly the perfect car for the city.
The Spark is awesome. It's small, but has room that you would not believe by looking at it. The gas mileage is the best. Fills up for 16$ average lasts over a week. The maintenance costs just a little more, but lasts 3 years longer than a regular car. I have had no problems so far.

The 2013 needs to have a recall based upon electrical system malfunctions reported by several users!!
Needed hoses drained under warranty the 1st year I had it. Id take it on long trips and it wouldnt start, but was fine on shorter trips. 7 years later, repeat battery dying, cant keep a charge. Battery itself fine, 0 parasitic drain and alternator fine. 0 codes on code reader, ended up a bad throttle body the electrical guys said was the problem. No. Battery died again 2 days after they fixed the throttle body. Problem has been present for about 5 months now and getting more frequent. Battery is fine but car is not reliable. Im reading several other 2013 complaints about the electrical system. Im reading where some shops cant even locate the problem due to 0 codes coming up!! They should have a recall on these for the electrical system based upon this issue!!

There are other great cars in this category for the same amount of money.
Engine replaced due to defect when vehicle had 24k miles. It has also had a plethora of various issues from complete ac system replacement to the master cylinder failing. The coolant reservoir also cracked from engine heat and was replaced 3 times.

The car that keeps trucking.
Engine light constantly on. Car alarm goes off at random times. Car alarm does not sound when you lock the car. I did buy this car for a cheap price, so I guess you get what you pay for. But for a car to have this many problems at once is ridiculous; considering its only 7 years old.
accountCircle Melissa L
The Chevy spark is worthless
The spark is slow to increase speed, has many blind spots and is overall a small, inconvenient vehicle. It does not offer power windows or locks as a standard option. The back seat is really for additional storage when grocery shopping, not a place for people to sit, the air conditioning doesn't work well and there is an ongoing problem where the check engine light turns on without cause. Too small for daily life.

Radio issues and highway driving warning.
Have had a few problems with the radio. After seven years it needs a new radio. It also can have issues (takes it a hot second) with reaching high speeds needed for highway driving. Is great though if you intend to use it mostly for just city use. A plus is the fact that it is good on gas. Though you'll still be filling up just about every week since it cannot hold much.

Great on gas and easy to drive!
I do not like how small it is, besides that though it is great on gas. Comfortable seats, a great dashboard and touch screen radio. I drove it back and forth from la to the bay area with no problems. I also love the color of the interior. It is a bright yellow with black leather on the sides.

The problem with my spark.
Consistently has had issues that cost hundreds of dollars to repair over the life of the car. The biggest issue is the engine constantly has carbon build up that cause it to not be able to shift gears, resulting in the car not being able to go over 30 mph.

Blue 2013 spark very tiny car but reliable and trustworthy
Very reliable and a gas saver, have never had any motor problem or anything serious. Speed is not the greatest, which I understand because it is a 4 cylinder vehicle. Very small car, not a huge trunk to fit big items. But overall very reliable and comfortable.

Cute comfortable little ride.
Overall this car has been great. It is compact, but the seats lay down giving you more room. I moved myself across the country in this car with two cats and it was surprisingly comfortable. Only issue I really have is that it does not have a lot of power. It takes a bit to go from 0 to 60. Because of this it is not the best car to take into the mountains. But otherwise it is a great little car. I have had her for 7 years and have hardly had any problems other than the little horsepower.

Like...with reservations.
Decent car, hate that there is no spare tire. Battery doesn't last long. Good mileage and a comfortable ride. Doesn't feel like a sub compact. A/c went out in 5 years, should last longer, Paint is flaking off which really pisses me off.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Tanaya Y.

This was in my price range, very affordable. The car is compact with the convenience of 4 doors, can easily fit 4 passengers comfortably. The tank is smaller, and has good gas mileage on the freeway. Automatic transmission, which makes an easier drive on my commute.

likeFilled Pearl F.

Compact safety feature allows you to feel safe and secure while inside the care. It is very compact which gives you the freedom to park where you wish. The speed is very smooth when going high speed and low speed. And the smart car screen feature that allows you to go fully hands free while driving. Pairs with any smartphone to be able to read the text messages.

likeFilled Rebekah T.

It has awesome gas mileage, I only have to fill up once a week and at the current prices (1.89 - 2.89) It generally costs about $17.00 Max. I have had limited issues in the four years that I have had the vehicle. Any time I have had to do maintenance I have never had to spend an exorbitant amount of money on parts or upkeep. In battery replacement, I spent about $145 total.

likeFilled Sarah E.

Smaller sized vehicle. This helps with finding parking in spots that are too tight for other sized vehicles. Has a unique look and color that stands out among the rest. Has a lot of storage and seating despite it is small size.

likeFilled Abigail J.

It is great on gas mileage, I can fit people in comfortably, there is a lot of space in the back, all of the electronics are amazing. I really feel comfortable driving no matter if it is a long trip or short.

likeFilled Destiny S.

I like the fact that Chevy Sparks have great gas mileage. Aside from the gas mileage, I sometimes appreciate that it is a small, compact car as well as the Bluetooth, hands free capabilities. These all the only things that I truly enjoy about my car.

likeFilled Tacha T.

I really like how strong it's been holding up even though I don't take care of it, but the ac blew out within a few years and there are a few minor problems like the locks. Now I have to lock and unlock manually.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Tanaya Y.

It is too small sometimes, I would not recommend for a family or multiple large dogs as pets. With the smaller gas tank, the gas goes pretty fast driving in town. Blind spots are mostly covered on back passenger windows. Not enough power to drive uphill, the car will struggle slightly.

dislikeFilled Pearl F.

The small size is not enough space for you to have inside the car As well as the trunk space is far too small to put anything in that is not small. The weight before you feel like you hauling too much is also affected. During the snow and rain, sometimes the car would skid due to the size of the car and the wheels especially if you have to much weight inside the car.

dislikeFilled Rebekah T.

There are only two seats in the back, the windshield is very weak (it was cracked by someone who lightly smacked it to get a bug), the tires are very expensive as they are a specialty type, the trunk is very small, the door handle came off and I had to glue it back on.

dislikeFilled Sarah E.

Cannot carry larger items, such as mattresses and furniture. Can only have four people in the car and it gets kind of tight if any of the people are on the taller/larger side. It does not accelerate as fast as other cars and uses a higher RPM to sustain highway speeds than larger cars.

dislikeFilled Abigail J.

It is hard to pick cons out when overall it is been a great vehicle and easy to maintain. I do wish the gas tank was a little bit bigger, and that the tires that fit lasted longer. Also not a big fan of the seat material.

dislikeFilled Destiny S.

Sometimes the radio will stop working for short periods of time. And although I mentioned that I appreciate the car being compact at times, sometimes, I wish it were larger. These are the only things that I can think of as negative aspects at the moment.

dislikeFilled Tacha T.

The air conditioner began making whispering sound and the turning knobs are difficult to move. Ac does not work after a few years. The locks stick and become manual so it's hard to set alarm on car because when I have to do manually the alarm goes off until I put key in engine.

Yeah I like it. I believe it is a good vehicle that fits my needs for everyday life and driving. It gets me there.
Cody H.
Nope. Everything has to be special ordered. The trunk is too small. Only good parts are the smooth steering wheel and the fact it has not broke down. It has a lot of issues going uphill too.
Kacie Y.
It’s been a reliable vehicle and it’s great on gas mileage however it’s not practical for hauling camping gear or recreational gear. It’s also been rather high maintenance on servicing the vehicle.... Read More

How Reliable Is The 2013 Chevrolet Spark?

Yes the car is reliable. I have never had any issues with it other than the tires lost air frequently.
Margherita E.
It's very reliable. It had no problems. It's small and I've never once had any issues with anything on the vehicle.
Cody H.
For the most part yes. But I have had to replace most of the car parts or fix minor engine issues. There's too many special order parts.
Kacie Y.
Yes, brakes wear out quickly, when something goes wrong mechanically it goes really wrong and it blew a head gasket
Thomas B.
Yes, the Spark is reliable. We have very cold winters with wind chills getting to -58 below this past winter and it started right up every day during the winter. No problems with regular maintenance.

I felt like it consume so much fuel. I had to fill it every once and then although I don't drive long distances

Is The 2013 Chevrolet Spark A Good Value?

The car is under 25k. Yes I'd say that's a good value. It's affordable, unique, it's great for finding parking in the city, it's actually spacious inside.
Margherita E.
I got the car for 7000 a year ago. I would say that it has a good value for what you get. Great mileage, low maintenance.
Cody H.
Around 16-20,000 dollars. It is of a decent value. Not really bang for the buck when you take repairs into account but it works at least. Good gas efficiency.
Kacie Y.
For the price I’d say yes. The interest rate is killer but that’s more personal to me and not the manufacturer. It’s a good starter car for someone young or who likes to travel
Nicole S.
I believe to was listed around $11,000 new. It has been a very good value for our family because we also do a lot of driving so we also save on gas as well as getting a good deal on the car.
Jose V.
I think that it is a good value for its size and features. It fits my needs perfectly. I didn't regret buying it
Da D.
I paid something like $12,400 out the door. That was for a basic model. It's been worth it to me... it gets good mileage.
