It was what I needed.
Bought it new and traded it with 80K miles for a 2004 SLT 4X4. The rear A/C condensate line needed connecting and the FI system needed the uprated injectors to make it the perfect 99 SUV. I still have the '04 with 155K miles on the original powertrain. The engine drinks a pint of oil in 5K miles (thanks, Amsoil). It's not bent, rusted or trashed and it sits next to my 2016 Yukon SLT 4X4. 2 out of 3 have been trouble free and I wish I had the 99 to rejoin my fleet. If GM ever builds the 99 again, I'm a buyer.

Money pit
Bought the truck used from a car dealership. I took it for its first oil change after three months and within a week the engine blew. I continue making payments on a truck that sat in my driveway for months. FinallyI continued making payments on a truck that sat in my driveway for months. Finally got a new engine put in it and within 6-7 months the transmission began slipping. I then had to replace the transmission Followed by the fuel pump (twice), the radiator, the starter, The motor on the drivers window (twice),The driver and passenger door pins and hinges, the doorhandles on the driver and passenger doors inside and out, the air conditioning unit, lower control arms,And that’s just the problem is off the top my head. I put more money toAnd that’s just the problem is off the top my head. I Could have easily bought a brand new car with all the money I’ve put into this truck.
