Great on gas, has 190,000 miles on it and still going strong. It's a great car!
Great car! It has close to 200,000 miles on it and going strong! The air conditioner had to be replaced last year but other than that and needing to buy new tires, it is awesome vehicle. The car is great on gas, I can fill my tank for $30 dollars. The headlight covers needed to be professionally cleaned as they we fogged over, but that was an easy fix!

For the car being 18 years ago old it drives very well, maintenance is key in having an older car. If you keep up with the basics everything will be okay, my car has a few dents and scratches but I'm really enjoy driving my car. Very easy to manage. My car does have a check engine due to the crank sensor but the car drives fine.

Performance and durability is the highlights of this vehicle.
The performance on my Honda Civic is really outstanding. Extremely safe and easy to drive. I wouldn't recommend it for a extremely tall person, they maybe cramped. Maintenance is easy and enjoyable, due to the fact that parts are easy to get. It's a car that will last forever, if maintenance is kept up with.

Overall it is a very reliable vehicle mechanically never had any major issues, just normal wear and tear, very economical on fuel, makes a good transportation become for work or school, only issues I really had where the door lock actuators going out but was an inexpensive fix. Would recommend vehicle to any person looking for an economical transportation vehicle.

Honda civic - 2001 lx - black - stick.
No problems - has 250,000 miles - just starting to use oil some - only had problem with normal upkeep - would buy this car again. The car has been from Idaho to Iowa. Would like to see more cars on the road with this much longevity. If I could find another one I would get it.

You Get What You Paid For.
Was purchased from an owner on craigslist. Had issues with the left wheel bearing so had it replaced immediately. Other minor issues here and there but overall, for how much the car was purchased, it runs almost flawlessly but recently both car windows started malfunctioning and eventually stopped working. It is a simple fix but it takes time and effort.

Four door Honda Civic, white with black
It overheats now that it's old and the steering wheel doesn't seem to be able to get fixed it steers right on its own. Air conditioner is broken as well and wouldn't rely on it for long trips. It sometimes takes a little bit to turn on. I think overall it's the car that had lost of problems, I've had other Honda civics that start acting up once they get pretty old

Honda Civic sedan; a very reliable vehicle.
A good car for short trips, and around town. It is easy to maintain, as long as the oil is changed Accordingly. From the driver's standpoint the window pane level. Is very good to see oncoming traffic and side-streets, etc. The Honda brakes at very close range, and is not top heavy. The trunk area with the seats laid down can hold many small trees, and groceries. Over 150, 000 miles and the vehicle has even traveled through the Mojave desert. Includes an air conditioner, which is helpful during the summer months.

It is very efficient on gas.
My car is an excellent first car. We bought it from a family friend when we didn't have a car and it has been so amazing. It is definitely reliable, I drive an hour to school and a half hour to work daily, so that puts a lot of miles on it. My check engine light has been on for about 2 months now and it is still running well. I get regular oil changes and it is good on gas.

Get the sport/eco version of this car as it has very little problems compared to the regular version. They are both good cars.
My vehicle, in general, is reliable; however, it has had many problems recently such as the temperature going really hot when stopped at a red light for too long. Also takes a while to build up speed again after stopping. Unlike the honda civic 2001 sport which is smooth even though it is the same year.

It is very easy to operate and is reliable.
Being 18 years old it is had to have a few things replaced and checked very often. But I cannot complain too much because it gets me to where I need to go. The comfort of the car is very high on my 'like list'. It is small but is roomy. There is not all the confusing buttons and knobs so literally anyone could understand how to turn the a/c or heat on and not accidentally change the radio station.

My Honda Civic I bought it over a year and a half ago. Had problem with radiator first. Got one from the man I bought the car from. It gets hot and cuts off sometimes. Not every time. Than sometimes it will do it a lot. Have to stop let it cool for about 30 minutes. Something else is wrong with it now. It happened when t on the brakes going about tt.

Honda Civic ex reliable and simple.
The Honda Civic is reliable when it comes to saving money and gas. Absolutely no complains about the mileage and it's a nice looking car. Simple and reliable. The sunroof is a great feature on this vehicle since you can enjoy the sunshine on a beautiful day and the cold breeze enters the car. Performance wise as long as you keep up with the oil change and adding air in the tires one will not have any problems. The car requires low maintenance, the cost of maintaining in a good shape is low compared to others.

My Honda is very reliable and I've only had to do maintenance on it. It's a perfect size for me. My main complaints have to deal with the amount of recalls it has had. If I had really known how reliable Honda's were (previously had a Chrysler), I would have purchased a Honda I really loved.

An interesting detail about my vehicle is that the seats are comfortable.
My car is great the only problem is that at one point my battery automatically stopped working. Another thing is that the interior/ dashboard kept falling apart at times but so far my car still runs I just believe I need a new one. And it had lasted me a few years I just wish it could last longer but overall it's smooth.

If you take care of it, get your oil changed every three months, 3000 Miles, it will last a long time.
I like how it handles. It is 18 years old and runs just as good as the day I bought it. It has kept It's value because I have always followed the maintenance recommendations. The interior needs replacement. The headline is drooping down and I've seen that happen on other Honda's.

My vehicle is an older vehicle but very reliable!
Honestly, the style and look of my car is great. Performance wise, my car is very efficient in gas mileage. Of course like any car, it requires maintenance, and if you do not keep up with regular maintenance then you will run into more serious, costly problems with your car. Personally the main problems I've ran into with my car, are minor ware n tare such as ball joints needing to be replaced along with the control arms. Then the normal repairs such as changing the oil and oil filter and brake change.I'd also recommend becoming more aware of your car, how it normally sounds and runs. This way if your car isn't running the same you can always look into it. Never ignore your gut when you feel like something may be going wrong with your car. For instance my car has always run fantastic. No problems. Until one day my car began to overheat. I was terrified. It didn't happen again after adding water for about 2 months, and then the real problems kicked in. My car began to idle low, accelerate slowly, and stall at red lights. My baby has never ran this way, ever. Turns out my head gasket was blown. Which can happen when a car overheats. Turns out my car overheated because there was a leak in my coolant. Big chain reaction! Could of very well of been prevented if I hadn't blew off the first time it overheated. So to all car owners and people who are looking to buy a car, id recommend my car the Honda civic ex, because it's really great on gas and the style is pretty modern but always keep up on maintenance and do not blow off something that doesn't seem like a big deal because you will pay in the long run, that goes for any car.

I love it! It's so good on gas! If it were close to empty $27 fills my gas tank and it's just so good on gas! Its older too so. It's easy to fix - if I ever have to buy parts, they are so much cheaper than my newer car! It's only has 144000 original miles on it! That car has never left me stranded! However - on the down side - my windows and seats are manual and I don't have heated seats, but over all by far my fav car especially for traveling back and forth to work!

2001 Honda Civic still going strong.
The gas mileage in the Honda Civic is great. It was bought used with very low miles and is still running great. I have a problem with the gas cap not opening with the switch on the floor, it is apparently a common problem with the Honda cars in this year range. It would be nice to have more than a cassette player in the car, but it is fine. The car has plenty of room for 4 people and can fit plenty in the trunk.

I enjoyed it until the head gasket went.
Until the head gasket blew, I really enjoyed the car. Obviously, it is what it is. It was an over 15 year old car and it was the entry level model to begin with, and had 150,000 miles when I got it. But I used it to deliver pizzas and put about 40,000 miles on it. The fuel economy was great -- about 32 mpg on the highway and about 29 in town. It only had the small 4 cylinder engine but the intown pickup was surprisingly good. Unfortunately, it just is not worth enough to justify the expense of replacing the head gasket so I had to quit delivering. I just use it now to limp around town and I realize I am already on borrowed time, but what can you do.

Excellent gas mileage on this car
There was a recall on the airbags. Some of the airbags had debris, possible metal, inside that when deployed could injure of kill you. This must be replaced if you have this car. This car is very good on gas. Excellent gas mileage. This model does not have a CD player but with an adapter you can make your cassette player hook up to your phones auxiliary and play music. My car has around 100k miles on it and I had to replace the transmission. It's a manual.

This car is old and becoming unreliable. The breaks pads need to be replaced far too often and the fluid levels drop too fast. I believe that my issues are due to the previous owner only taking the car to a friend when work was needed. Hondas are typically far more reliable.

Dependability
I have had very few problems with this car in the 4 years I have had it. It is about to break 262k miles and other than tires, oil changes, or other small things, this car is awesome. I have had the camshaft sensor replaced as well as the valve cover gasket because it was leaking oil but the car is right at 20 years old so it was probably just the original gasket. Currently I am having issues with the fuel pump, maybe, but other than that no big issues. Wear and tear is the only thing to worry about. It is a work car and I do not mind the economical appearance of it. The headliner is coming down but simple fix. The oil filter is a pain to get to because the car sits so low and I am stocky but if the car is jacked up enough I can reach it. The ABS modulator was discontinued by Honda, according to the mechanic I went to, and I had to get a spare from a auto salvage yard for about $106, but it works just fine. With it being a 1.7L 4cylinder, it does not have the power of other sportier cars (not that I really care, I just want longevity), but other than that I would recommend this car to anyone. I really enjoy it. If you take care of your car, it will run for a long time. Hondas are exceptional vehicles and I will be getting a new Civic in the future simply because I believe in the Honda brand and its dependability. That is what I want out of a car. Gas mileage is good as well.

After 10 years, the transmission will need repair.
After 10 years, the transmission goes out, and will need yearly servicing to maintain it, or risk needing to do another costly repair. The stock stereo is easy to upgrade, and I highly recommend doing so to bring it more in line with current conveniences.

My vehicle is a good on gas & it is convenient for travel in and out of the city.
I do not have a lot of problems just a few brake issues here and there. I have to check the antifreeze given that it would leak sometimes. I also have to be careful because it is an old car some of the interior is falling apart. Other than that Hondas do not normal. Give me a lot of problems.

It is dependable, gets decent mileage, and is a nice looking vehicle.
Nice car color good mileage enjoy driving it.. Hard to get into the back of the car. Nice interior comfortable.

It is very reliable and has always gotten me where I want to go with no problem.
Good size for me. Very reliable. Gets great mileage even after 17 years. I have taken good care of it and have absolutely no complaints.

If you take care of your car it will take care of you.
I like that it runs good, but it also makes weird sounds when I am not driving it. My Honda is perfect in its own way, but has some difficulties. I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

I hate not having tabs. I hate that it failed additions. I like that I have a car. I am happy it runs.

An interesting detail is the rear view mirror
My car is very reliable and overall just a great car. It can be comfortable for a family or a single person, the rear view camera is very helpful when backing up and the stereo on the car is very good and makes the music sound fantastic. My car has never had any problem and I know I can always rely on it to get me where I am going

My Wonderful Honda That I Love So Much
It is good on gas, is very reliable and a wonderful car. The sound system is amazing, and is very comfortable to drive and the car fits my needs perfectly. It has a few dings and is getting old but still keeps going! I have always had great luck buying from Honda and would recommend my car to anyone! I have used it for long commutes over the years and really appreciate my car being dependable. I have never had any serious car problems because have maintained it well and have kept the car very clean.

It may not be as reliable as it should be for the brand.
I like the manual gear shift and the speed control. I feel comfortable in it. It has needed more repairs than I planned on.
