Mazda 2 2012 review, I love this vehicle.
I like this car. It has good gas mileage and is easy to drive. The engine runs smoothly, the seat warmers are great, and the brakes are easy to use and you do not have to apply a lot of pressure for them to start working. The only problem I am having is accelerating onto the freeway, which can be fixed. I definitely recommend this car.

There are pros and cons of having mazda2.
Just an ok car! Ok on highway too if you do not need to go faster. Mazda2 can save money in gas, in the car, insurance etc. My biggest complaint is road noise and no technology. I think it is a great car, it just needs comfort, technology, and less road noise. Also the shocks that come stock are very noisy, should improve the quality.

How much money you will spend on gas. With gas prices I can will probably spend at $25 to fill up.
My mazda is very good on gas, the size is small and compact I have my issues with the size because I wish I could pack more things. I wish it did have more features just as listed in the manual.

I would recommended not to buy this model! It is uncomfortable and no. Power!
It has no thrills! It is not comfortable for trips! It does not have much get up and go! The seats are very uncomfortable! For long trips it. Make my back hurt! It has no GPS screen! I haven't had many problems with it! The air conditioner is basic high and low!

Affordable and great mileage for a high school/college student!
The Mazda mazda2 is a great car for a high school or college student. Affordable in price and the car does get great gas mileage. Very small and not super comfortable. Definitely not safe if you have a child! The backseat is very cramped for more than one person.

Great company - always reliable.
This car has been reliable, any issues I have had have been easily resolved through Mazda customer care service. Always reliable and easily accessible if I need to bring my car in for servicing of any sorts. Definitely will be purchasing all future vehicles from Mazda.

My Mazda 2, the perfect little car for anything life has in store.
The Mazda 2 is the perfect car in my opinion. It is small, but not suffocating, safe, handles different conditions well and is great on gas. My car has a slight problem with the sound system, in that sometimes the audio cable comes loose and so cannot use the sound system, but overall it is a very good, dependable car.

Great vehicle overall, a little loud and bumpy though.
I mostly love my car. It gets great gas mileage and is reliable for road trips and around town. However, my one complaint is that the road nose gets quite loud on the freeway and dirt roads are quite bumpy. But she handles well in the snow and is fun and zippy to drive!

Very spacious for a very small vehicle.
I love my vehicle. Great gas mileage. I can literally park anywhere. Actually has a trunk, with a spare and room for more that it looks like. Back seats fold down for larger items. Only complaint about the back seats is they are not comfortable at all. Extremely easy to take care of. Only item I have had to replace that was not normal maintenance, is the battery.

Mazdas are extremely reliable vehicles. I just went over 100,000 miles and have had very few problems with it. I also bought in a model year when they had an extremely vibrant green color offered, which pleased me greatly. I still think of it as my new car!
Most reliable car I've ever owned. I've purchased Mazdas pretty much all my adult life, and this one is my favorite of all of them.

Good size of the vehicle, accelerate quickly, and has a good sound system.
I love my Mazda 2. I have been driving it for almost four years and I have not any issues with the car. The seats are very comfortable. There are three seats in the back row but since the car is on the smaller side, fitting three average size adults may not be the most comfortable.
accountCircle Holly M on January 20, 2021
It is a small car, but it is a good car!
The seats are very comfortable, and the steering wheel thickness is comfortable in my smaller hands. The car is tiny, but it feels much roomier in the front seat than you'd imagine. Although, the back seat is fairly tight. I routinely take road trips and have never once experienced any vehicle issue whether it be a mechanical issue or an issue with fitting all of my luggage, myself, and my two cat carriers in the car!

A reasonably good car to buy.
I am generally happy with my Mazda 2 which I have owned for over seven years. The vehicle has not caused me any major issues. I do not plan to resell the vehicle. I plan to own the Mazda 2 till it no longer runs and is not worth fixing anymore. I would generally recommend it.

I love my car for it is get up and go and easy to care for.
It is a zippy car, has great gas mileage, is very reliable, a 6'4' friend can sit in front and not hit his head. I can carry a bicycle, a recliner and lots of boxes easily. It is been very reliable. I haven't had any problems. It is very easy to park. The back seat folds down for carrying cargo.

Nice black hatchback 5 door.
Very small on the inside, but very efficient on gas saves a lot of money. Not good for a family of 4 or more. No big rear facing car seat. Not a lot of maintenance to keep the car up and running but oil changes are quite pricey. Getting tires and on the cheap side but kind of hard to find.
accountCircle Stephanie C on January 12, 2021
Gas is not economical in my opinion and my main use is school for my daughter, work and home.
I like the size of my vehicle for me and my 8 year old. I don't believe my vehicle is travel friendly. I've traveled 5 hours from home and had to stop often for gas and ended up wits two flat tires. Traveled 2 hours aways and was better. I hate the hesitation or the time it takes to speed up. My aux connection is broken and seems that it cannot be fixed. Again, gas is terrible to the mile.
accountCircle Jazmin V on January 10, 2021
A detail about my car is that you can fill up the gas tank with just 20 bucks.
I do not think I have any problems with my vehicle other than you can feel every bump on the road is uncomfortable for me and the passenger. Other than that it is a decent size for me. What u love about it this is that with just 20 dollars I can fill up my gas tank full and sometimes every with just 15 bucks I can fill it up completely so that is a plus.

Size and performance have it is up and downs, not recommended for use as a family.
It is a great car, it is great on gas and very convenient to park and drive because of the small size. However I do wish it was a little more roomy. Also because it is smaller, the tires need to be replaced more often but they are also cheaper than average size tires.

Comfort and economic price.
Overall, Mazda 2 is a great car for short or long trip. For daily use, it is like driving a go-cart to work. The steering is spot on, brakes are fantastic, and the handling overall is unbelievable. The seats are sporty and comfortable. However, the only con I’d deem is that the gas tank capacity is small.

Mazda 2, Just the right size and always a great drive
The Mazda 2 is a fantastic little car! Apart from being an attractive car, it's great on gas, accelerates well, and is small enough to feel maneuverable, without the uncomfortable feeling of those really small cars. The price is also great as it has only what is needed, no extra bells and whistles. The only thing I've found annoying is that the engine coolant sensor takes a while to turn off, even when it's really hot out. But apart from that, anyone would really enjoy having this car.

Extremely low maintenance and fun
I've had my Mazda for almost 7 years now and I still love it! I just recently changed the brakes for the first time- I can't believe they lasted that long! I changed the tires at about 5 years and I think that's was even a bit early. The only other thing I e had to do for this car is change the oil and I rarely do that because it takes synthetic oil! It is such a low maintenance car, extremely fun to drive (I have a manual), and it still looks so good. I won't be getting rid of my car, despite the seemingly small size it holds a lot!
accountCircle Andrew C on November 3, 2020

I dislike that it isn't very powerful and takes a minute to accelerate. I do like that it saves me money on the price of fuel.

The amazing Mazda: Reliable, great, gas affordable and inexpensive
The 2012 Mazda 2 is amazingly great. It has been the most reliable car I have owned, it's great on gas and filling it up is cheaper than any previous owned vehicles! It might be low but it has gotten me through 2 Yosemite mudslides ! I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who is looking for a great reliable car

Fuel efficient, budget friendly, reliable.
It does not tolerate extreme temperatures well. It is a great commuter car. It is a fuel efficient vehicle. I have never spent more than $25 to fill up my gas tank, even in the cold winter months. It does not require much more than the typical standard maintenance. This car is really good for a low budget car.

Really good on gas is red it is small car the engine is really good and reliable.
I had to put a brake master cylinder and front brakes where's the tires that real quick because the rockers on the front tires ever wore out but other than that it is got a good motor and it runs real good and it is good on gas it gets about 30 miles to the gallon.

Mazda 2 for all adventurers.
The car itself is fine and probably perfect for someone who thinks it is “cute” but I am not a fan, it always has something wrong with it. First the tires then the brakes and the tires again. The steering shaft needed to be greased up which seems to be a problem for this model, which they no longer produce.

Great daily driver and dual economy
My Mazda 2 is a great daily driver car. It's comfortable and really great on gas. It seats four and has a pretty spacious hatchback trunk. I've had my Mazda 2 for seven years and it still runs great and is very reliable. It's small but safe and you park it just about anywhere.

2012 Mazda 2 - recent issues.
My Mazda 2 was very reliable for the first 6 years but it is slowly starting to have issues. The vehicle runs great however there have been some computer/communication issues with the vehicle and the engine light has gone on and off over the past 6 months for no reason. In addition to this I have had to replace the spark plugs and coils over the last year. The gas mileage for this vehicle is amazing although the car has a small gas tank.

Loving my Mazda cx-9. Comes with lots of room and smooth driving!
I really like my Mazda cx-9. It drives great, lots of room, sporty look on the inside and the outside. If I could change anything I would prefer a larger screen for the radio/backup camera. It is also a little bulky for someone short, but that is expected.
accountCircle Jasaney S on July 15, 2020
I absolutely love it, and very thankful to have a vehicle.
It's not quite spacious inside, but it offers a sporty and lightweight feel that I really enjoy. While the engine could use a few more ponies, the fuel economy is exemplary. The great five speed manual gearbox helps the fun factor; skip the optional four speed automatic, if you can.

Vehicle Summary Of Mazda 2
Performs well with great gas mileage. Extremely reliable car with no mechanical problems in the years I have owned my Mazda 2. Spacious inside space with a roomy trunk for a smaller vehicle. The tires are a smaller size so they have to be custom ordered at a tire store. Handles turns and curves well. Extremely easy to park. Can be slow to accelerate sometimes.

This is a great starter car!
This is a great starter car. Got it to learn how to drive on. Its turning radius is fantastic and it fits into any parking space. Very comfortable to drive in, and a lot roomier than it looks for its small size. My one complaint is that when you really push the pedal it does not accelerate very quickly. May be a safety hazard if you really need to get out of the way of somebody quickly. Overall, love it!

My little green booger car.
My car is lime green. I love how it is compact. It's just the right size for me. The gas mileage is so good. Its has a roomy back hatch for the hauling whatever I need. The heat and air works so good to and fast. Little enough for me but big enough for my six foot tall hubby.

One tank of gas is 402 miles and I usually fill the tank about once a month.
It is a nice little car. Air conditioning does not work though. After only being 8 years old and having regular tune ups. We've had a few problems here and there but it is been easy to keep her in good condition. I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a small vehicle that is great on gas!

Great gas mileage and steel cage construction in case of an accident.
My car gets great gas mileage, regularly getting 250 miles on 8 gallons of gas city driving. It is also cute: a bright green color that attracts attention everywhere I go. Easy to drive, takes the hills around here well. The only thing I don't like is that I have no cruise control.

No maintenance problems. I'm 5'11 and there's plenty of room in the driver's seat. For a small car, it has plenty of cargo space to pack camping/skiing supplies for myself, husband and big dog. It is great on gas mileage. It is a 5 speed and has a lot of pull up hills.

Great car, but parts are expensive.
My Mazda2 is reliable, fuel efficient, and fun to drive. The spirited green color really stands out, and because of the car's small size the 100 horsepower engine feels a lot stronger. My only real complaint is that replacement parts are more expensive and harder to find than those for other Mazda models.

The reasons Mazda 2’s are great.
My car works really well, gas mileage is pretty decent. I have not had a single issue with the performance of my car. The Mazda 2 is perfect for a first car, it is compact, but offers plenty of space. The breaks are amazing and have saved me from wrecking a couple times. I do wish the base model had at least a cruise control option, it would make my drive home from college much easier because it is a 6 hour drive.

A zoomy little car with great gas mileage.
I love my car for its reliability and great gas mileage. Most people do not like smaller cars, but I feel very comfortable in it. The hatchback gives the trunk a lot more space than a typical sedan. The Mazda 2, in a nutshell
Not a lot of acceleration, aesthetically unappealing, small tires that make for bumpy rides. Not good on hills, or in bad weather. The positives would be gas mileage, handling, and the price If you lived on the west coast with warm weather, and no hills or mountains, and you needed a commuter car, this wouldn't be a bad choice

This is just an average car. So far, it has not had any issues. It does have a blind spot to left. It is comfortable. The heat does not work great. Great car but not roomy enough.
So far my Mazda 2 is very reliable. No problems with it so far for it being a 2012. Mpg is good and very cheap to keep it filled with gas, great for commuting. The only problem I have with the car is room inside the car. There are 4 of us and there is not much room in there for all of us. Car seats take up a lot of space and trunk space is very limited. Overall, the car is a great car for work or school but not a good fit for a family.

A first time driver with no bells and whistles.
This car is very straightforward for first time drivers. The small, hatchback size makes it easy to maneuver through streets and park in tight in tight spots. It is moderately comfortable on long drives, but possibly less so for taller drivers. It is small size also ensures that gas is more affordable. Does however, lack some basic features that most cars have, such as an armrest, adequate phone holder, and Bluetooth. The small size also means that rear seating and trunk space is fairly small.

For a small hatchback it actually is pretty good, runs well, cost efficient. Drove all the way from Corpus Christi Texas in it and it was such a smooth ride. Just wished the sport trim had cruise control. My son's car seat even fits in it which we thought would be impossible.
