2012 Mazda 2 is a very reliable cute vehicle

My 2012 Mazda 2 has been extremely reliable these past 7 years! I have had to get a new battery and change the tires once but other than that I have not had to do any major issues with this vehicle. There are two features that have broken but other than that it is a great car. Eventually after about 6 years the aux does not work and the sign for my tire pressure does not go away even after I put air in the tire. Other than that all of the features are great. The car is very comfortable. Although it doesn't have an arm rest, I didn't notice it when I bought it and it doesn't bother me at all. For a small car it is very spacious and I love the hatchback. Overall I love my car and its' reliability.

Extremely low maintenance and fun

I've had my Mazda for almost 7 years now and I still love it! I just recently changed the brakes for the first time- I can't believe they lasted that long! I changed the tires at about 5 years and I think that's was even a bit early. The only other thing I e had to do for this car is change the oil and I rarely do that because it takes synthetic oil! It is such a low maintenance car, extremely fun to drive (I have a manual), and it still looks so good. I won't be getting rid of my car, despite the seemingly small size it holds a lot!

Mazda 2, Just the right size and always a great drive

The Mazda 2 is a fantastic little car! Apart from being an attractive car, it's great on gas, accelerates well, and is small enough to feel maneuverable, without the uncomfortable feeling of those really small cars. The price is also great as it has only what is needed, no extra bells and whistles. The only thing I've found annoying is that the engine coolant sensor takes a while to turn off, even when it's really hot out. But apart from that, anyone would really enjoy having this car.

The reasons Mazda 2’s are great.

My car works really well, gas mileage is pretty decent. I have not had a single issue with the performance of my car. The Mazda 2 is perfect for a first car, it is compact, but offers plenty of space. The breaks are amazing and have saved me from wrecking a couple times. I do wish the base model had at least a cruise control option, it would make my drive home from college much easier because it is a 6 hour drive.

Gas is not economical in my opinion and my main use is school for my daughter, work and home.

I like the size of my vehicle for me and my 8 year old. I don't believe my vehicle is travel friendly. I've traveled 5 hours from home and had to stop often for gas and ended up wits two flat tires. Traveled 2 hours aways and was better. I hate the hesitation or the time it takes to speed up. My aux connection is broken and seems that it cannot be fixed. Again, gas is terrible to the mile.

Why I love my Mazda: the economy car with a luxury feel.

I really enjoy my Mazda 2. I get great gas mileage and not to mention the bright red color which is an added touch. My Mazda, even though tiny, fits everything I need plus passengers, which helps since I often drive my siblings around. Even though it is an economy car it still drives nice and has a sporty look to it, without sacrificing the pros of an economy car.

Vehicle Summary Of Mazda 2

Performs well with great gas mileage. Extremely reliable car with no mechanical problems in the years I have owned my Mazda 2. Spacious inside space with a roomy trunk for a smaller vehicle. The tires are a smaller size so they have to be custom ordered at a tire store. Handles turns and curves well. Extremely easy to park. Can be slow to accelerate sometimes.

- Logan V

An interesting detail is that it is very small, but anyone can fit into it.

My car is cheap to fill up and gets me where I need to be. It's small and is great when trying to park. One negative may be is that it takes awhile for my car to speed up when I accelerate, but it does the job. I've had it for more than 5 years and the only problems I've had were normal which were low air in the tires and having to get oil changes.

The Mazda 2, in a nutshell

Not a lot of acceleration, aesthetically unappealing, small tires that make for bumpy rides. Not good on hills, or in bad weather. The positives would be gas mileage, handling, and the price If you lived on the west coast with warm weather, and no hills or mountains, and you needed a commuter car, this wouldn't be a bad choice

Mazda 2 lover! Great mileage!

There might be a slight electrical problem as the car charger does not always pick up the power right away. Besides that, everything is good with the car! Nice and small plus great mileage! Love that I can control the radio through the steering wheel and it comes with an aux cord already which is awesome for us android users.

The amazing Mazda: Reliable, great, gas affordable and inexpensive

The 2012 Mazda 2 is amazingly great. It has been the most reliable car I have owned, it's great on gas and filling it up is cheaper than any previous owned vehicles! It might be low but it has gotten me through 2 Yosemite mudslides ! I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who is looking for a great reliable car

Great car, but parts are expensive.

My Mazda2 is reliable, fuel efficient, and fun to drive. The spirited green color really stands out, and because of the car's small size the 100 horsepower engine feels a lot stronger. My only real complaint is that replacement parts are more expensive and harder to find than those for other Mazda models.

- Cassandra L

Efficient, economical, reliable.

Good gas mileage. Great turning radius. Not very powerful engine (hard to go up steep hills). Wiper fluid runs out more quickly than i'd like. Have never had electrical or engine problems, only routine maintenance needed. Does not have Bluetooth or jack to plug phone into speakers, which I would like.

The Mazda 2: tiny package, great value.

I have had little to no problems with the Mazda 2. It has relatively good gas mileage. The seats are comfortable. It feels good to drive. The only down sides are a small back seat and truck. I got no additional features and the vehicle came with power windows, lock, steering, and a regular stereo.

Nice black hatchback 5 door.

Very small on the inside, but very efficient on gas saves a lot of money. Not good for a family of 4 or more. No big rear facing car seat. Not a lot of maintenance to keep the car up and running but oil changes are quite pricey. Getting tires and on the cheap side but kind of hard to find.

- Ki R

Great gas mileage and steel cage construction in case of an accident.

My car gets great gas mileage, regularly getting 250 miles on 8 gallons of gas city driving. It is also cute: a bright green color that attracts attention everywhere I go. Easy to drive, takes the hills around here well. The only thing I don't like is that I have no cruise control.

Great daily driver and dual economy

My Mazda 2 is a great daily driver car. It's comfortable and really great on gas. It seats four and has a pretty spacious hatchback trunk. I've had my Mazda 2 for seven years and it still runs great and is very reliable. It's small but safe and you park it just about anywhere.

My little green booger car.

My car is lime green. I love how it is compact. It's just the right size for me. The gas mileage is so good. Its has a roomy back hatch for the hauling whatever I need. The heat and air works so good to and fast. Little enough for me but big enough for my six foot tall hubby.

For a very small car, we can go camping for a week.

No maintenance problems. I'm 5'11 and there's plenty of room in the driver's seat. For a small car, it has plenty of cargo space to pack camping/skiing supplies for myself, husband and big dog. It is great on gas mileage. It is a 5 speed and has a lot of pull up hills.

- Adrian B

Great company - always reliable.

This car has been reliable, any issues I have had have been easily resolved through Mazda customer care service. Always reliable and easily accessible if I need to bring my car in for servicing of any sorts. Definitely will be purchasing all future vehicles from Mazda.

- Anna B

Size and performance have it is up and downs, not recommended for use as a family.

It is a great car, it is great on gas and very convenient to park and drive because of the small size. However I do wish it was a little more roomy. Also because it is smaller, the tires need to be replaced more often but they are also cheaper than average size tires.

- Marissa P

Really good on gas is red it is small car the engine is really good and reliable.

I had to put a brake master cylinder and front brakes where's the tires that real quick because the rockers on the front tires ever wore out but other than that it is got a good motor and it runs real good and it is good on gas it gets about 30 miles to the gallon.

- Barney B

Not many it has bluetooth I do not like the car, so I really can't say much about it my husband drives it mostly he paid it off early it sucks the gas and he has been pulled over 3 times. Never buy a red car, and if u leave your keys in it like I have we each have a set the alarms go off my advice buy a Toyota

It drives ok, I did not go with my husband when he got this car because I wanted a Toyota and on top of it all its red, last year were were stuck at target because, it would not start. All so many recalls on this car and we are trading it in for a Toyota

- Kari H

Little maintenance required.

I really have very little complaints about this car. Great gas mileage, interior is made well and does not fall apart, very sporty looking. The oil changes are expensive but do last longer. I have not had to get any work on my vehicle except maintenance.

- Holly E

A good car for all the single ladies

1. This car is a hatchback. 2. There is a removable shelf in the hatch so you can have either an open trunk or a standard sedan's kind of trunk. 3. It is basic, which is good. 4. There are no screens in the dash, which is extremely good.

- Jennifer M

Great tiny vehicle meant for utility

The Mazda2 is a very small, fuel efficient, easily maintained vehicle meant for singles, couples, and small families. It has very little storage capacity, but makes up for this in excellent mileage.

- Marcia P

How much money you will spend on gas. With gas prices I can will probably spend at $25 to fill up.

My mazda is very good on gas, the size is small and compact I have my issues with the size because I wish I could pack more things. I wish it did have more features just as listed in the manual.

Fun Sized but Great Mileage

Car runs well, is easy to maintain, gets great gas mileage, and keeps me from going too fast. It is smaller so it's not the best if you have a large family or have a lot of things to carry.

- Amy I

It has 112, 000 miles and I haven't had any problems with it.

I have had my Mazda 2 for 6 years and haven't had any problems with it. It is a good car and fun to drive. I like the hatchback, it has a lot of room for being a small car.

- Lisa A

It has good gas mileage and it does not cost much to fill it up.

I like the great gas mileage and the fact that it is still roomy for its small size. I wish there was a bit more trunk space. I like that it was inexpensive option.

- Jacklyn P

My car fits into small areas. Great on gas mileage.

I love my Mazda2. It could be a little bigger for camping or traveling. It has great gas mileage. I wish I would've bought one with auto transmission.

- Carla C

Very maintenance free; just take care of it and it will just keep going and going.

I love my little Mouse....still running great after 70,000 miles. Low maintenance; high mileage per gallon. I couldn't ask for anything more!

- Victoria B

Mazdas are extremely reliable vehicles. I just went over 100,000 miles and have had very few problems with it. I also bought in a model year when they had an extremely vibrant green color offered, which pleased me greatly. I still think of it as my new car!

Most reliable car I've ever owned. I've purchased Mazdas pretty much all my adult life, and this one is my favorite of all of them.

- Matt O

It is small, not invisible.

I love the color, bright green, easy to find in parking lot. Great for hauling, lift up hatch. Great gas mileage. No complaints.

People should probably know that acceleration is slow.

I dislike that it isn't very powerful and takes a minute to accelerate. I do like that it saves me money on the price of fuel.

- Andrew C

good value, quality made car, lots of legroom for a small car.

It is a beautiful metallic green color. It is a 4 door hatchback with lots of room. Best of all, it gets great gas mileage!

- Melanie M

I love my amazing Mazda demo 2.

I like my car and I do not have any problems with it I will buy to new car but the same model because I like it a lot.

- Kelly L

Good value for the money and surprisingly a lot of cargo space

It is very reliable. It is good on gas mileage. I can fit a lot in the hatchback. It is a bit too small for me.

- Kevin C

It drives very well and has few problems.

I love the size. It is easy to drive and can be parked anywhere. I do not like how there is no cruise control.

- Emily A

My car has brand new tires.

I dislike the size. I dislike the color. I dislike the gas tank size. I dislike the crack in my windshield.

- Mackenzie B

It's great. don't underestimate it by Its size.

I love my little car. It is great for city living and parking. just wish it had an arm rest

- Jacqueline D

Compact, drives well. Works well in cities and for new drivers. Fairly fuel efficient.

Not good for people over six feet tall. Seats don't go back that far.
