Ford commemorated the 40 millionth truck milestone with a photoshoot that paired the 14th generation 2022 F-150 alongside a first-generation 1950 Ford F-1. Ford began production of its F-Series trucks 75 years ago, in 1947, with the Ford F-1, F-2, F-3, and F-4 hitting the market in 1948.
Ford sold 787,422 F-Series trucks in 2020, and by December 2021, the F-Series pickups were again confirmed as America’s top-selling vehicle for the 40th straight year, and the top-selling truck for the 45th consecutive year.
