If You're looking for what oil to use on Your 2010 Toyota RAV4 then let me tell You it depends on the size of Your engine. If You carry a 2.5 L 4Cylinder engine, then the oil You should use is either SAE 5W-20 or 0W-20. If You want the best fuel economy then You should probably use 0W-20. On the 3.5 L V6 engine, the oil used is SAE 5W-30. If by any chance You can't find 5W-30 then You can use 10W-30 instead but just change it back when Your oil is replaced. The capacity on Your vehicle iS7.2 quarts on the 2.5 L engine. The 3.5 L engine carries a capacity of 9.4 quarts.

The 2010 Toyota RAV4 2.5L oil capacity is 4.5 quarts (4.2 liters) and 6.4 US quarts (6 Liters) for the 3.5L engine. The recommended oil type is the Toyota Genuine Motor Oil or equivalent to satisfy the ILSAC multigrade engine oil grade and SAE 0W-20 viscosity for the 2.5L engine and 5W-30 for the 3.5L engine.
