The 2016 Ford F-150 with the EcoBoost 2.7L engine has an oil capacity of 6.0 quarts. Ford recommends using Motorcraft SAE 5W-30 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil. As part of You regular maintenance routine, You should check the oil level every time You put gas in the tank. Park the car on a level surface and let the oil drain for at least 15 minutes. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean. Insert it back in all the way and remove it again. Make sure the oil level is between the top and bottom holes. If it is below the bottom one, add enough oil to bring it into the normal range.

But as a side note to previous answer you have to wait up to 5 mins for oil drain to pan to get correct level. It is not as quick as pour in and check on both the 3.5 and 2.7 ecoboost.
