The 2007 Kia Sorento's thermostat is located adjAccent to the drive belt; if You follow the radiator hose, it will lead You to the thermostat housing cover. If You're looking to complete a repair or replacement, it'll necessitate draining the coolant from the system. It's important to let Your Sorento cool for several hours before draining coolant; failure to do so can result in burns or other injuries. The radiator drain can be access through a hole in the front radiator support; the V6 engine also has a coolant drain plug located on each side of the block. Once Your engine and cooling system are thoroughly prepared for the job, then and only then can You safely remove the thermostat.

Passenger side between the engine and firewall by the hearer inlet and outlet. You may have to remove the air filter and resonator boxes and disconnect the mounting bolts holding the radiator line in place to access it.

2007 Kia Sorento thermostat is located near the heater in and outlet between the engine and the firewall. It is not easy to get to like most others. If you remove the Air filter and resonance chamber on the passenger side it will give you enough clearance. You should also remove the mounting bolts holding the coolant line so that you can articulate the thermostat housing. It's a series of 10mm and 12mm bolts and isn't technically difficult but is more involved than most other make and models. Pulling the thermostat out of where it is seated is, well so far, it has proven to be impossible. I'll try again so wish me luck. And I send my wishes for your best of luck as well.
