It's the perfect crossover vehicle and handles extremely well.
I love how it provides plenty of space without being oversized. It has been extremely reliable and drives great. I don't have any complaints.
accountCircle JENNIFER S

Safety
Iabsolutely love everything about this SUV!! This is my perfect vehicle. It's a 2007, the previous owner had dinged it up in a few places on the bumper and rear end, yet it continues to drive well. My one problem is that I did just recently get a notice of a recall. Regarding the ESC & ABS lights that flash, at times at a slow speed when turning at acertain angle, my car will cease to accelerate and my gas pedal will drop and feel like its dragging on the pavement!!! In the RECALL LETTER I was advised to park it and leave it, due to the fact it could easily just start on fire!!! Even without running!!! What am I supposed to do!? No rental given or anything, and I'm still waiting for the parts.

How safe it is. How many airbags that it has all around the inside of the vehicle
I love the safety rating that they have. I love how high up they are and the way they drive. I wish the sunroof would open more instead of just popping up

Love my Kia. I has lots of legroom and is a very reliable SUV.
I love my Kia, I brought it used. I have had no major issues with it in 5 years of owning it the only things I have done besides regular maintenance is replace the battery and alternator. It has 190,000 miles and still drives amazing. When the time comes I will be looking to get another Kia. Very reliable maker.

The 2007 Kia Sorento, My First Car
The vehicle is amazing, has lasted me many years with minimal issues. I enjoy the comfortability, the reliability, and the SUV style. Even though it is an older model, it has heated seats and a pretty timeless radio. This is my first car and I'm so happy I have it.
accountCircle Heather R
I love the seats. They are almost like memory foam
The only real problem we've ever had is the door handles are really cheap and snap really easily. The air vent stopped working. Everything costs a lot more to fix on these cars then American made ones BC the parts are so close together you have to take it all apart.
accountCircle Stacie P
With just the proper maintenance, this car will give you reliable transportation for years.
It is easy to get in and out of. It is hard on my knees getting in and out of vehicles that sit lower to the ground, but the Kia Sorento is the right height to slide in and out. I also love the power of the engine. It accelerates promptly without any of the lag that some other vehicles have. The four wheel drive is a plus as well. I have had it for 10 years without any problems at all.

Negative Owner Reviews

That it is not American made and not built as well
My car is blue. It has only about 75000 miles on it. It has been very good for the family we enjoyed our vacation
accountCircle Laura S
That it was inexpensive, it does get you from point A to B, but it is in norway a luxury car.
I dislike the fact that it keeps having random parts break. Also, the paint is nearly gone from the outside.

Safety
Great performance!! But when it comes to the recall I worry, it is affecting the Safety of every time I get behind the steering wheel. It is a great worry, yet I must continue to get to and from work each day. Until the problem is fixed.

2007 Kia Sorento review. Love how reliable of a car this is!
Door handle broke, the AC recently broke, but overall a really reliable car. For the mileage on the car there are very few issues for the car. Drives okay for the age of the car, but a little bumpy. Once the AC was replaced it has been working as good as new.
accountCircle Samantha D
The paint chips easily but parts are very cheap.
My Kia Sorento is a very smooth ride. The wheel assembly went out twice and that makes it for a rough ride.
accountCircle Jarvis S
Kia a nice vehicle but expect unusual type of problems
Makes a strange noise, burns lots of gas, very bumpy ride I have had three batteries in 4 years however I do like the car

Older model 2007 Kia Sorento.
It is reliable, gets my to point A to point B. I can also travel out of town with this vehicle. Its runs well even though it's a 10+ year old car. Its roomie and it holds up 5 people comfortably. The trunk space is a lot for storage so grocery shopping should be a breeze.
accountCircle Nikki H
Its black, four door. Seats 5. Big trunk and great on gas. Heated seats.
Very reliable, fits me and my two children comfortably. If you keep with oil changes and small car repairs lasts a long time. There is a factory recall on a problem they still have not fixed. Something the started but does not keep you from driving it. I've had it for five years and it just now started turning on weird but past couple days it fixed itself. Good on gas.

This vehicle is very reliable.
This car is a great buy. Reliable, comfortable roomy and a great family car. Great miles to the gallon. Air is cold and hopes to pass it on to the kids.
accountCircle Jeff B on March 1, 2021
Runs well. Some issues with check engine light, related to O2 sensor. Cruise control doesn't work. All regular systems (radio,A/C, power doors and windows, work great)
Seats are NOT powered and rear seats do fold down but not easily as the headrests need to be removed first then placed in slots on the seat backs.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Amanda S.

The gas mileage is really good, I like the style and body, the inside has plenty of room and space for me, the luggage tracks are a convenience when traveling. I like the oversize of the vehicle, it is not too big or too small.

likeFilled Marissa P.

Great condition, comfortable, few issues, high mileage and still running good, 4 wheel drive is excellent for all weather, good body shape, very spacious. The seats are comfortable, radio works well, and it drives very smoothly. It has plugins in the back and front and the back seat is very roomy.

likeFilled Christopher A.

The car is really good in all types of weather, especially snow. It is a very spacious car with lots of room for people and storage. There are a lot of windows which eliminate blind spots. The sunroof is very nice as well.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Amanda S.

The back door does not lift up high enough, I have to keep my head lowered when getting groceries out of it. I have had trouble with the drivers window getting stuck in the down position. And I believe that all SUV of any size should come with towing light hookups.

dislikeFilled Marissa P.

Timing chain issue at 150k miles(which is not supposed to happen). Had to have the alternator replaced. The vehicle unfortunately is more prone to rollovers because of the short wheelbase. It rusts around the tires.

dislikeFilled Christopher A.

The gas mileage could be better and it can get a little top heavy at times. I would have preferred to not have leather seats. The car can sounds heavy at times and feel heavy, especially with hills and turns.

How Reliable Is The 2007 Kia Sorento?

It is reliable. It drive comfortably in all conditions, rain, ice, snow, fog. The car may be over ten years old but it drives like a new car, no problems. And passes inspection every time.
Maelyn A.
I covered this exactly already. The drift shaft going out and rendering it useless throws all the previous reliability out the window.
Courtney S.
My Sorento is very reliable and never had any great issues, as long I take it to get regular maintenance, it runs beautifully.
Eva G.
It is very reliable, however issues have sprung up recently with door handles and the AC breaking. Overall, very minuscule issues
Alicia E.
So far the car has been reliable and has been without problems. For the car being that old it amazes me that the car has been without issues.
Beth O.

Is The 2007 Kia Sorento A Good Value?

Buying it used was 4,000. For a reliable, well driving car it matches its value well. Since it is a car that will last a while, the price is worth it.
Maelyn A.
I do not remember the cost but it's hard to say it is or is not a good value. It definitely felt like a good value for a long time.
Courtney S.
My Sorento was priced accordingly, did not pay a great amount of money for it, and it was financed on the spot.
Eva G.
Cost $20,000 used when I originally bought it back in 2010, overall a very good value for the amount of use I got out of it.
Beth R.
I'm not sure of the exact amount but I know it was a great deal. I don't think we would have paid a bunch for it.
