The power control module (PCM) in a 2013 Ford Explorer is located behind the front bumper on the driver's side, it is about four inches in front of the drivers tire. In my opinion this is the worst place to put the vehicle's computer. The chances of damaging the housing is quite high. If You were to hit a small animal while driving especially on the front driver side bumper can crack the housing. Hitting something larger like a deer or something similar will likely wipe out the PCM. A replacement PCM will cost anywhere between $200 to $600. You probably will be able to find one on eBay for around $200 but if You were going to the dealer You could expect to pay up to $600.

The 2011-2015 Ford Explorer PCM can be found directly behind the engine inside the plastic housing next to the wiper motors.

The 2013 ford explorer pcm relay location is normally under the passenger floor board, but sometimes they can be under the seats instead.
