The intelligent forward collision warning (I-FCW) system in the 2018 Nissan Altima is a groundbreaking safety feature, hailed by many as an industry leader. That is, right up until You get the "radar sensor obstructed" dash warning, and it becomes an expensive paperweight. Luckily, the location is straightforward and the obstruction is more commonly caused by slippage or debris than failure. To find the sensor, You'll need to look to the front of exterior of the vehicle, behind the lower grille. It's a small black box, sometimes hidden by an emblem or other trim panel. If You need to calibrate, You can find instructions at https://www.vehicleservicepros.com/home/article/21122498/calibrating-forward-facing-radar-sensors . If You need to replace, then You're in for a steep cost; it's a proprietary part only available through dealerships, and an online price is not readily available.
I've looked, and looked, so far I can't locate it. Is it behind the emblem? Nothing is jumping out at at me.
