The 2018 Ram 1500 does not require any power steering fluid. It has an electric power steering system that uses an electric motor to assist when steering. The battery provides electricity to the power steering motor which moves a metal rod back and forth depending on steering wheel location. The motor is mounted to the top of the rack and pinion and will push the tie rod ends in and out depending on what direction does steering wheel is being turned. There is no regular maintenance required on the power steering system in the 1500 , unlike the 2500 and 3500 models, which both have hydraulic power steering systems that require ATF +4 automatic transmission fluid.

On a 2019 1500 classic tradesman does it require power steering fluid because I'm leaking what it appears to be powered steering fluid. You mentioned that the 18 doesn't have any power steering fluid it has a electrical motor does the 2019 classic have a electrical power steering motor
