In the 2013 Ford F-150, You'll find the fuse that controls Your tail lights in position 40 in the passenger compartment fuse panel, which is a 10 ampere fuse. The panel itself is located under the right side of the instrument panel. In order to access it, You'll need to remove a small trim panel with two access tabs, one on either side of the trim piece. It's important to note that the tail light fuse (pos. 40) also runs the license plate light; therefore, if Your license plate light is not also out, then You'll need to move Your diagnosis to a different cause. Also of note, fuses don't just blow for no reason; You should continue searching for the underlying cause even after You replace the fuse, as they're just there as a failsafe for when there's a voltage spike.
