2019 Acura RDX Reviews

The main problem I have had with this vehicle is the button gear changes. It is awkward and the stick is preferred. Something that is questionable is that the backseat/trunk area make clicking noises often when backing out or going over bumps/potholes. It gets great gas mileage, especially for longer trips. The low lights that turn on at night are comfortable. The heating and cooling seats are great. The moon roof is not personally preferred. Performance has been better than expected with the different driving and comfort modes.

This car drives very smooth and I love the amount of space there is in both the front, back and the trunk. The back seats fall to allow for more room when you need it, which definitely helped when moving into college. The rear view camera allows you to see quite the distance away as well. Over all, the car is safe, It doesn't go fast unless you really press hard on that accelerator which is actually a good thing in comparison to cars that speed up without you even realizing it.

I love my Acura rdx! It is a great car, I haven't had any problems with it. It is reliable and super comfortable! The GPS system is amazing and speaks out loud and shows a map on the screen. I have the technology package and it comes with many different options. The performance of this car is great! I love the way it drives smoothly and saves the preferences on how the driver likes their seat placed. It is awesome and I would highly recommend it!

I have had my 2019 RDX for slightly over a year now and it is back at the dealership again for an infotainment system that simply goes blank but then keeps the display on until the battery dies. I have had to have the car jumped twice now just to get it out of my garage and too the dealership. My wife drives a 2015 Lexus RX350 as has had not one slight issue and my RDX has now performed even worse than the Buick Regal I got rid of to purchase the RDX. Simply disappointing and something that should never happen. And the transmission is very unresponsive from a stop which creates a great annoyance. I was considering saving a bunch of money and buying a Hyundai but went for the Acura instead. I won't make that mistake again.

The Acura rdx handles like a turbo sports car. The acceleration from a stop or on the move is impressive. The standard features are amazing, but adding the technology package is a wonderful upgrade. The only negative I have is the location of the blind spot indicator. It is currently located inside the vehicle. I feel it should be placed in the side mirrors as they are in every other vehicle. This way the cars passing you know that you know they are there.

My husband and I both bought the same vehicles but in different colors and dealerships. We could not get the color he wanted at the first dealership, and did not care for the management there. We have very much liked the vehicles, however his has gone into the "limp/mode stalling three times since purchasing in October 2018. The first two times were on a busy city street and we were able to get to safety and had to have a toll truck take it to the dealership. It had no power at all. This last time was August 9th, 2019 on the Oklahoma Turner Turnpike. It was while he was passing at 80 mph. The vehicle just stalled out. It was a blessing we did not have a wreck and was able to eventually get to the shoulder. My husband turned off the engine, waited a few minutes, then we were able to continue. We went slow and stayed in the right shoulder in case the issue happened again. We have spent over $85,000 on two vehicles that we are not sure are safe to drive. This is a big concern.

This is the 2nd rdx I have owned. This one does not have 4wd which is disappointing but I was in a pinch and needed a vehicle. It is a 4 cylinder turbo so it is great on gas but still fast. It is black on black, push to start, huge sunroof. The grill/headlights are very modern looking, as is the sleek body style. It comfortably fits my family of 5, including my 6'7 fiance and our 3 kids, 2 of which are in car seats. I love Acura, this is my 3rd one and I will probably stay with them in the future.

The RDX is a nice looking vehicle and rides pretty well. I have owned this vehicle for almost a year and have only about 9000 miles on it. Thus far, this car has been in for service more times in under a year than 12 years of a combined total of non-routine service calls owning various Infiniti vehicles! The main source of issues involving the infotainment system. System errors almost daily. Take it in for a fix and on way home from dealer service, same thing happens again. Android compatibility was promised by end of September 2018, still not available. Not once in past year have I been able to achieve advertised gas mileage. Its been nothing but a headache. If I took vehicle in for service every time I got an error message I would be there multiple times a week. Regret purchasing this vehicle. Just getting lots of excuses from Acura service.

So far so good! I have had it serviced just for regular maintenance. No problems. I love being able to choose my driving style, I mostly use comfort or sport. I was worried that with the smaller engine, that this car might be sluggish, but it has plenty of get up and go for passing or merging on to busy freeways. I truly enjoy the heads up display and the phone car partnership. Another feati went from driving larger cars to this size and find that it is the ideal size for my life right now. It is easy to park yet roomy enough for luggage, groceries and my yoga equipment. My car is pretty, I have black exterior with light tan interior. I would most definitely purchase another Acura.

Overall, the performance of the rdx a-spec is cohesive and not deficient across the board. But little things such as brakes that are a bit on the small side, slightly underwhelming tires, and a sometimes sleepy throttle response take a bit of the shine off a solid performer. Acura really has interior packaging figured out, and the rdx is yet another showcase of how much room the automaker manages to find and make useful. From a generous cargo area to flexible interior storage solutions, the rdx makes having a lot of stuff easier than it should be.

I have had my 2019 in the dealership 5 times. First a control arm broke when it was 3 months old, took a month to get the part on backorder. My infotainment system is glitchy, after a bluetooth phonecall the Sirius xm radio wont work it's just silent, the navigationstarted going from daytime to nighttime flickering back and forth, the parking sensors stopped working without me even knowing until it was too late, the cross traffic mitigation stopped working - both were sent for service and stopped working again right after and I had to make another appointment 3 days later and waste more time to fix it. I was told before I purchased it that Android auto would beavailable "any day now" and 9+ months later i am still waiting. The navigation on this car is hard to follow, only top left corner in plain white font I the next step and no pop up indicator to tell you a turn is coming soon. You have to really watch the map hard to follow if you dont like the annoying voice prompt every 25 seconds interrupting. The usb port also doesnt work very often. It definitely looks beautiful though. But the entire technology aspectis a disappointment for me and makes me regret getting trapped in this vehicle that has potentially unsafe safety features flaws and costs a lot of money for what it even offers.

After driving six Lexus RXs, I switched to the 2019 RDX. Good handling, but underpowered and lacking in some safety features that are standard on the RX and other far less expensive models. Ride is less comfortable than both Lexus and less expensive models. Infotainment system is hard to use, and keypad is awful. Motor on back door failed within first eight months of ownership, requiring lengthy loaner while waiting for part replacement. Acura needs to improve its product to earn its price point.

I’ve just had my RDX Advance a week now, it has 500 miles on it, and so far I love everything about it with the exception of the Auto Idle Stop. Thank God you can turn it off, which I do every time I start the car. After just a week I’ve mastered the TTI, it’s becoming second nature. The ride is great, the safety features make me feel in command of the road, the seats are way comfortable, and the 16 speaker ELS surround sound system blows me away. Brakes are a little soft but not to the point that it’s a problem. I hope to get many years of pleasure from my RDX.I drove all the luxury SUVs plus the Honda CRV, Mazda CX 5 and Toyota RAV 4. The RDX definitely gives you more for the money.

Great performance!! It has 272 horsepower with 280 lb-ft of torque which is great to overtake people and change lanes at its finest. The beautiful apex blue makes the car stand out from the ordinary!! It a class above the rest!! The luxurious and comfortable red seats help you to get buckled in and provides a comfortable ride. The car comes with apple CarPlay which helps you to concentrate on the road and not getting distracted. It also helps you use GPS from google maps, waze and other third party applications which helps navigating much more easier. The car comes with 16 speakers which provides the clearest of sound quality. I highly recommend this car to everyone!! It has everything one desires. It has the balance of sport and comfort. It has the utility and the practicality too!!
