Awesome. I love it so much. It is my favorite car.
I don't have any issues with my car. It is so great and I have no issues. If anything it gets bad gas mileage but most SUVs do. I love the color, and the wheels are so cool looking. I get new tires every 6 months. It is a lease so I can get a new car in 3 years.

Affordable luxury and safety.
Performance and gas usage in economy mode is outstanding. Interior is spacious for a smaller SUV. 5 profile settings one of which is for a guest (guest when being valeted). Safety options are important and useful. Display is large and navigation is easy to use. System allows you to control the ambiance color of the interior which is not only nice but let’s you quickly see you are under someone else’s profile.

BMW: for the flexible driver.
I have driven BMW vehicles for the past 14 years and the drive is great! I have not experienced any problems and the vehicles have been very reliable. I have owned cars as well as SUVs (the latter being my preference). SUVs can switch between sport and comfort drive.

High level recap of BMW x3.
Good gas mileage, amazing sunroof, great dashboard. Trunk is large and audio quality is fantastic. Aesthetically pleasing and functionally reliable. Luxury feel. I love the customizable seat positions. Issues- cannot change from km/hr to. Miles, when you do it switches back after you restart the car.

This vehicle very well designed, spacious and hand down best car I ever had.
This vehicle is so nice from the exterior to interior. The color is really nice and very clean, I love the way it was built. It is a really good car, it has a lot of space, seats are made with custom leather, well designed interior and is the definition of luxury.

BMW x3 m sport package- a great deal!
I love everything about the car. The best part is how our particular model (m sport + executive package) has multiple features like 360 degree camera, excellent sound system, the trunk opens with a wave of the foot. All these luxurious additional things make the car extra special.

The x3 has the best ride of any vehicle I have ever owned.
The 2019 BMW x3 is one of the coolest kids in one of the coolest classes among cars: the compact-luxury-SUV segment. Here it competes for the hearts, minds and dollars of upwardly mobile buyers who may also be considering a mercedes-benz glc or Lexus nx, or an Audi q5 or Acura rdx. The BMW x3 stands apart from such rivals by the fact that it was among the first of its kind, the trendsetter of the segment. Beyond its aspirational badge and German pedigree, the 2019 x3 is a real-deal BMW. It touts the brand’s dynamic performance and fun-to-drive manners while also boasting the latest technology and a cadre of creature comforts. The BMW x3 is hardly the least expensive compact-luxury SUV.

What Do Critics Say About the BMW X3?

  • Consumer Reports says the 2019 BMW X3 is one of the best driving compact SUVs on the market, with high owner satisfaction scores as it ages.
  • Edmunds rates the X3 at 4.2/5, enjoying the powerful engine choices, but doesn’t like that there is no Android Auto connectivity.
  • Kelley Blue Book users give the X3 a 4.4/5, praising the agile handling for an SUV, but owners don’t like the higher repair costs than some competitors.

What Common Problems Does the 2019 BMW X3 Have?

Problems found on the 2019 BMW X3 include sudden acceleration, the A/C system not working, along with some issues with the rear hatch. Overall, these problems are similar to other compact luxury SUVs on the market, although some repairs can be more expensive due to the high parts and labor costs.

Sudden acceleration is the most serious complaint from owners within the first 2,500 miles, but fortunately it’s not very common. The problem is usually caused by a damaged throttle position sensor, which may make the vehicle accelerate. Replacing the throttle position sensor fixes the problem, and is usually covered for free under warranty.

The A/C system not working is another problem mentioned by some 2019 X3 owners within the first 10,000 miles. Often, the problem is caused by a clogged cabin air filter which reduces air flow. Replacing the air filter costs around $75. If it does not fix the issue then there’s a chance there’s an issue with a blower motor, which costs over $600 to swap out.

Issues with the rear hatch have also been reported on some X3 models. Owners report that the hatch opens on its own while parked. The button on the key fob is easy to bump while in a pocket or purse, and can cause the hatch to open. Usually, this is the problem, but there are some reports of issues with the hatch motor which costs around $200 to reprogram.

There are eight recalls on the 2019 BMW X3, which is worse than other small luxury SUVs on the market. The most serious recall is for the rear brake caliper pistons. Other recalls include the lane keep software, air bags, rearview camera, along with the occupant classification system. BMW will fix all of the issues covered by recalls for free.

How Long Will the 2019 BMW X3 Last?

A well-maintained 2019 BMW X3 can last around 200,000 miles, which is shorter than some other small luxury SUVs like the Lexus NX. Regular annual maintenance costs are higher than average according to data provided by Repair Pal, at $1,034 per year.

As a used 2019 BMW X3 reaches 100,000 miles, and depending on the vehicle history, owners should be prepared to replace the A/C pressure switch for $200, stabilizer bushings costing $325, along with the wheel bearings which cost $600.

Standard safety technology is great, and comes with:

  • Rearview camera

  • Low-speed automatic emergency braking
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Pedestrian detection

Optional driver assistance features include:

  • Full-speed automatic emergency braking
  • Lane departure warning

What Colors Does the BMW X3 Come In?

How Comfortable Is the BMW X3?

The 2019 BMW X3 sets a high bar for comfort in the luxury compact SUV category. As you settle into its plush seating, you immediately notice the ample legroom and the premium materials that line the cabin. The supportive seats make sure that both the driver and passengers can enjoy long journeys without discomfort. Many models even feature power-adjustable seats, and those in higher trims can treat themselves to a massage function.

The well-insulated cabin effectively keeps out road noise, allowing for peaceful rides, whether you’re on the highway or navigating city streets. The efficient climate control system provides a cozy atmosphere in any weather condition. With its spacious design, the X3 gives even taller passengers plenty of headroom and leg space in the back. In short, the 2019 BMW X3 offers a luxurious and spacious haven on the road.

How Much Storage Space Does the BMW X3 Have?

The 2019 BMW X3 is a luxury compact SUV that offers both functionality and comfort. Regarding storage space, the X3 is quite impressive for its class. The rear cargo area boasts a generous 28.7 cubic feet of space when the rear seats are upright. If more space is needed for larger items, the 40/20/40-split rear seats can be folded down, expanding the cargo capacity to a sizable 62.7 cubic feet. This means that not only can it handle everyday items such as groceries and golf clubs, but it can also accommodate larger items like bicycles, suitcases, or even small furniture pieces.

Throughout the cabin, the X3 offers many smaller storage compartments for added convenience. The center console features a decently sized bin under the armrest, perfect for wallets, phones, or small bags. There are door pockets that can store water bottles or other essentials, as well as multiple cup holders for both front and rear passengers. What Are the Differences Between Years?

The third generation of the BMW X3 was introduced for the 2018 model year.

2015: Small exterior styling changes including a new front bumper and lights, more convenience features added.

2016: The xDrive35i now comes standard with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system.

2017: Upgraded iDrive stereo system, and keyless ignition and entry is standard on all xDrive35i models.

2018: Fully redesigned for the third generation with new engines, styling, and technology features.

2019: NO changes from the 2018 model which was fully redesigned.

2020: New plug-in hybrid model of the X3 introduced with 18 miles of full-electric range.

2021: Upgraded standard safety features across all models, Android Auto offered.

How Does the BMW X3 Compare to the Competition?

The 2019 BMW X3 is a nice compact luxury SUV, offering a good mix of performance and luxury, although some of the repair costs get expensive as it ages.

The Audi Q5 is another small luxury SUV which can be found for about $2,500 less. The standard all-wheel drive system in the Audi Q5 is better in the snow, while the BMW X3 has more standard technology features. We recommend the BMW X3 since it’s more fun to drive, although both are good luxury SUVs with similar ownership costs.

The BMW X5 is a larger midsize SUV offered by BMW which is about $8,000 more. Passenger room is better in the BMW X5, while the BMW X3 feels more nimble and sporty to drive. We recommend the BMW X3 for most people, unless you need the extra room and power found in the BMW X5.

Do Owners Recommend the BMW X3?

Yes, it is a very reliable and fast vehicle. Although it is a crossover, it still feels like a sports car.

Yes it has lots of new helpful features. For example it projects your speed and speed limit on the road in front of you and the side view mirror light up when there's a car in your blind spot.

The 2019 BMW x3 30i is a great, compact luxury SUV. I have always preferred and driven sedans but after my BMW 3 series (f30) was t-boned and totaled last year, I decided I needed a bigger vehicle... But not too big. I debated the x3 and x5 and ultimately decided that the x3 was the better vehicle for my 20+ mile commute in dc traffic. I ordered the vehicle; added all the safety, entertainment, and luxury features I wanted; and waited three weeks for it to be delivered. While I appreciate the appeal of the 6 cylinder turbo, the four cylinder turbo engine is plenty for me and my dc commute. I especially like the safety, luxury, and tech features and believe they're critical in any new car. Like any BMW, once you start adding options the price escalates pretty quickly. That said, you can get good deals throughout the year... You just have to be vigilant. I would absolutely recommend the x3... In fact.

Love the overall feel of the vehicle, it does very good on gas per mileage, never had any major mechanical problems. Interior is very comfortable, love the heated seats during the winter, like that the are leather which makes it easy to clean. Also I like the sensory features on the car.

Eco-friendly and takes less fuel,
The lower fuel consumption in BMW cars reduces the cost of buying oil. Fuel-related car parts are also used for a long time. The car does not look like an elephant then. Hybrid cars reduce the buyer's car costs. Due to global warming, the balance of the environment is constantly being disturbed. Pollution is increasing in the city. Black smoke from cars is also responsible for this. When the BMW car is powered by battery power, the engine is off. BMW cars also emit less carbon dioxide from cars. This reduces the rate of environmental pollution. Although hybrid cars have gained popularity in the country as fuel efficient, these cars are recognized all over the world as environmentally friendly.

I didn't realize my model didn't have automatic lock and unlock. It does not have satellite radio capabilities. No one told me that. I like the ease of handling. There are some minor squeaks here and there. Always taken care of but a little inconvenient. Service is hard to get an appointment but when you do get in, they take care of it fairly quickly. I like the driving profiles that adjust to the specific drivers preferences.
The car has three different modes: sport, eco, and normal. These are super easy to use, you just have to press a button, and you are set. The car also has different driving profiles that adjust to the settings the driver provides. The gas and breaks are not too sensitive, but they're also not too heavy; which I like.

Safety is priority and it is coupled with style.
Vehicle has desirable safety features such as vibration in the steering wheel if you cross the line in the road. Headlights are bright and light up dark roads. Collision warning will begin braking if a pedestrian or vehicle crosses your path. The display will remind you to take a break during long trip. Profiles for 3 drivers and a guest driver will save seat positions, radio stations, map preferences and other preferences avoiding constant repositioning if someone else used the vehicle. The ride is quiet and smooth even on NYC pothole filled streets. The availability of enjoying an m4 looking style without the need for the larger engine was an attractive incentive when selecting a vehicle. Energy efficiency even in comfort mode is a pleasure. Savings is notable when we compared to our last vehicle.

Great ride and performance, as you would expect from a BMW. Comfortable interior. Poor city gas mileage, good on highway. In-dash electronics and console interface are a bit outdated, it seems, given that BMW has been using the exact same system for years at this point.

Great comfort, fuel efficient and stylish!
I truly like the interior design of my vehicle. The seats are nice black leather. The lights change colors and look really sophisticated at night time. It is fun to drive and willing to arc around corners better than expected. The gas consumption is great. The front seats are supportive and well-cushioned, and they provide sufficient headroom and legroom, even for taller occupants. The driving position is comfortable, and outward visibility is good in all directions. At idle, the silence is such that you'll want to check the tachometer to see if the engine is running. There's a little bit of wind noise from the driver-side window at freeway speeds. Engine noise is pronounced under moderate to hard acceleration, but it is not unpleasant.

The car is and always has been incredible!
I love the car completely! It handles beautifully, the sounds system and electronics are incredible and the drive is awesome! My family has had BMWs in our family for years now so it feels like we can do not even want to switch to any other car brand. BMWs are just too perfect!

BMW is very beautiful. Everyone can buy this model.
BMW is one of the favorite car in our family. The BMW x3 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by German automaker BMW since 2003. Based on the BMW 3 series platform, and now in its third generation, BMW markets the crossover as a sports activity vehicle, the company’s proprietary descriptor for its x-line of vehicles.

The leather is very detailed, and is cool to the touch.
It is really smooth while driving. The seats are comfortable, and the overall aesthetics are simply charming. The brakes are smooth as well, and the car is very spacious and it gives off a luxurious feel. I enjoy going for a spin with my family and friends!

BMW x3 overall opinion: luxurious but practical.
I love my car. It is very quiet and has a comfortable ride. I love the heated steering wheel and the fact that it knows to turn on when the weather is below a certain temp. I appreciate the apple play feature. I wish the USB plug in was better placed. I cannot hide the tray if a cord is plugged in. Also the heating for the dogs in a crate in back is confusing. I wish I could adjust way back heat from the console.

Best vehicle I have owned
I love it. It's the best navigation and vehicle I have owned! The navy is live and redirects for traffic which is nice while traveling often. It is very accurate and hardly ever wrong like most navs. I love the life weather part too. It always tells the forecast and I have it pulled up. The pick up is great while driving and the sport mode is even better. It is very comfortable. No problems have been encountered.

Overall performance
In December 2018 I purchased x3 2019 , have it now for almost 11 months, simply say after 30 years driving huge variety of cars I can assure that BMWX3 is the best

Great vehicle - reliable and fun to drive.
The apple carplay is not updated like the x5 so that is a limiting factor. It is the right size for shorter people - still has ample space in the back for additional larger items, but not too big. The safety features are amazing from the sensors, heads up display and all.

That it has great performance with great styling.
The performance of the vehicle is wonderful as it rushes thru traffic and gets you to the destination that you desire. It is comfortable and quick with a beautiful interior and body styling. I enjoy the comfortable seats and the beautiful lush leather in the seats that come with the car.

Excellent packaging for midsize crossover. Great car for single/small family.
Comfortable, fuel efficient, elegant ride. Some media features can be cumbersome, but overall media package is comparable to other luxury crossovers. The trim is most impressive with great interior and beautiful moonroof. The drive is smooth and taking the vehicle to sport mode is a thrill.

An overall lovely car. I love the sleek on the outside, as well as the interior.
Can be a little cramped in the backseat with three people, but perfect for smaller families. Nice sunroof, window covers, and stereo system as well. Seat warmers in both the front and back seats. Exceptionally reliable car. It has never given me any problems.

X3 BMW: worth the purchase.
I love driving this car. I love the safety features. It is classy and drives smooth. I like the touch screen. It looks expensive. I like the size of the SUV it is not too big to drive. The sport mode drives really fast, which makes it like a luxury sports car.

Love my BMW: it also has hugging seats like the M series
Love the car. Am coming from a 335i so it is weird getting used to the larger car but so far I have loved everything about it. I do miss the 6 cylinder turbo in my sedan but the 4 cylinder turbo in the x3 still has some kick to it. The eco mode is pretty cool too
