Very spacious seats And trunk space. DRIVES very smoothly and I have not had too many issues with it only the. Normal wear and tear and maintenance. The back row folds down so you have even more space if needed. Compared to other cars I've owned I think the heating system on this is amazing literally gets so hot still I never have to turn it on high.
Durable with proper maintenance. Can also pull a small trailer. The steering is good. With some love the SUV itself is a great looking SUV. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 kids. The fabric holds up pretty good as long as you clean it.
Third row seat, drives great, lots of room under the hood, great on gas, tons of trunk space if third row is folded down, 4 wheel drive, very comfortable, sits up high if the family likes to go to the mountains don't have to worry about big rocks or potholes as bad.
It is big with a powerful engine. It has a v8 and a third row for roominess. It is red which. Is super cool. It has wood paneling which is really hard to find. It is a high mileage vehicle that has stood the test of time.
My car is big enough to hold all of my children and easy to keep clean. It is very easy to take care of and I have had to perform very little maintenance on it besides normal wear and tear. The interior is roomy and it is a very quiet ride.
It has plenty of space for big families, with three rows and eight seats in total. It also has decent trunk space. It is a reliable vehicle. Also, it is not that expensive since it is from 2006. And if you prefer simpler vehicles without a lot of technological features, this is a very simple vehicle.
The gas mileage in town and on the highway I don't believe match what they say it should be it's worse than what they say you should get. The only issues I've had with the car is to do with the brake system for some reason everything went bad with the whole brake system and I had to spend around 800 getting it fixed but that was only one time and every since then I've not had any issues with it.
Lot's of maintenance as it gets older. And you really need to pay attention to the way the car sounds both driving and idling. Can get a little expensive to fix if not maintained. The wiring system is not the best.
I don't really have any cons except when you have the third row seat up it leaves the trunk space very small for groceries or anything else you would want to put back there. And the third row seat is just a little narrow and not as wide as a regular seat.
It is almost too hard to drive due to its huge size. The throttle sensor has gone out twice but I think that is more of the sensor companies issue. I would like the gas to be a little cheaper in my Durango.
The biggest con of my vehicle is the trunk space. It is very hard to make room for all the things in my life. Also the trunk has had trouble sealing. It leaks for no reason sometimes whenever it rains and we cannot find a cause. There was also problems with the airbag recall, but that was easily taken care of.
Since the Durango is so big, it is definitely a gas guzzler. It can also be difficult to park and maneuver because of its size. If you are into more fancy, technologically advanced vehicles, this would be pretty lackluster.
The 2006 Dodge Durango has an average owner rating of 4.17 out of 5 which ranks it #6 of 8 other Full Size SUVs.
