The car does not start readily every time I buy gas. I have to pump the gas and start it several times before it will stay running. The car handles well and drives smoothly. I appreciate the size, not too big or too small. The cargo area is roomy, especially when the seats are down.

Reliable, durable and great value!
I have owned this vehicle for 7 years and cannot say enough good things about the quality and durability of this car. It is comfortable inside, has a roomy back seat and a very large trunk space. This car has held up to the demands of many long road trips and has maintained the comfort and reliability that it had when it was new. I will certainly purchase another Santa Fe as my next car in the future.

Clunking issue
Just bought a 2012 Santa Fe. Was great for the test drive. Very clean. Everything looked great. However when it warmed up on the way home, we noticed a clunk when slowing down and turning. It has been very noticeable when turning from a stop and going slow. Also when starting off slowly from a start. Sometimes it clunks so hard it feels like you hit something. Wondering if anyone else has had these issues.

My fantastic car, my Santa Fe SUV.
My car runs fantastic and it about 8 years old now! I use it to drive on road trips and I have never had any issues with it. The interior is great too. It has leather seats and Bluetooth so I can connect my phone to the car and do not have to touch my phone. I can call people without holding my phone too because it connects to the speaker.

Single mom’s vehicle- sometimes feel like I live in it!
Love my Santa Fe! Bought less than 2 years old, and has been 100% reliable! I do not like that there is no electronic vehicle maintenance reminders, like most vehicles. Fits my 2 girls perfectly. Wish I had a little more room for my 2 dogs to fit nicely in it. Only a 4 cylinder, but keeps up nicely. Gas mileage is not terrible either.

Reliable and dependable on bad roads.
My Hyundai is reliable and no major repairs have been necessary. But it difficult to clean inside because the cup holders collect dirt and things easily fall in the crack between the front seats and the console. This is a great car for driving in the snow too. Overall, it is reliable.

Overall good but loud, low mpg, and low clearance.
It rides very loud, especially on some highways. Ask it does not have enough clearance for off roading. And mpg is not good enough (is about a 25 average). Also the left speakers do not work which is frustrating. Overall comfortable and handles well in winter.

2012 Hyundai Santa Fe limited sport.
I truly love my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe! The heated seats come in handy in the winter and keeping food hot when you pick up dinner. The trunk space is super spacious. I usually am the friend who helps others move because of how much room is in the back, especially when you put the back seats down!

Dependability you can count on! Great gas mileage and mechanically sound.
My Hyundai Santa Fe is one of the most reliable vehicles that I have ever owned. It is a 2012 and is quite mechanically sound throughout the time I found it only regular maintenance and a couple minor repairs have had to take place, and it is my daily driver. There’s a large amount of space in the Santa Fe and the back seats conveniently lay down in order to utilize an even larger space for transporting stuff. The seats are not a luxury seats however they are comfortable enough to take long trips without being sore and cramped from the ride. It is all wheel drive and even though it is a SUV type vehicle is still good great gas mileage.

I wish the seats were automatic. My battery lasted from 2012 to 2020. It's good on gas, it takes me about $25-$30 to fill up depending on gas prices. It has plenty trunk space. I also really like the Bluetooth feature. I just wish I could change the song on my steering wheel.

2012 Hyundai Santa Fe great value.
My Santa Fe is extremely roomy for its cost in its class, especially the under-deck storage in the cargo area. I have driven both older and newer vehicles, and the performance of the Bluetooth hands free is much better than 2017 and 2018 vehicles I have driven for some time recently. The auto-sensing and light adjusting rear view mirror is also an unexpected premium on a vehicle in this price range.

The Santa Fe exceeds expectations.
My Hyundai Santa Fe runs smoothly, rarely has issues, and is pretty spacious. I am able to carry at least four other people with me, and I can keep quite a bit in the very back. I like the seat warmer feature, and the ac seems to work well in the Texas summer heat.

Good car with a few issues every once in a while.
I love the size of the Santa Fe, it fits my family of 4 comfortably without making me feel like I am driving a school bus. I test drove other SUVs prior to making my purchase of the Santa Fe and I did not feel others offered a clear line of sight out the back/hatch window. This concerned me for safety reasons. I wish the layout of the hatch area were different as it does not always accommodate what I am hauling. I feel stylish and trendy while driving my Santa Fe and feel it is a good vehicle that will continue to work for our family. I have had issues with the battery, however, which is a little irritating. I have owned my Santa Fe for 6 years and have already replaced the battery twice. As far as other mechanical issues, I have had experienced trouble with the front headlights going out regularly. These are both issues I believe are important to note as they make the car a little less reliable. I continue to drive my Santa Fe and would definitely consider purchasing another in the future, with the hopes that some of these issues will be resolved. I would highly recommend the Santa Fe to my friends and family members.

Spacious and safe vehicle.
I love my vehicle it is spacious and fits all of my items. I get good gas mileage and only have fill up my tank once every two weeks. It has a big windshield and makes me feel like I can see everything. My trunk is really big and I can fit bikes in their. Amazing vehicle, you need to buy one.
Works amazing in the winter. I have taken it places where people were putting on chains but with the 4WD on I had no problems. It fits me, all my camping stuff, my 2 dogs and all of there stuff. I would definitely recommend buying one. When I finally decide to get a new car I will look at a Santa Fe first.

Reliable and roomy vehicle.
I bought my pre-owned Santa Fe, with fairly few miles, almost 4 years ago. It has been a very reliable vehicle for my family. This is the vehicle we take whenever we do any traveling. Granted, most of our trips are about an hour to two away. But, the Santa Fe rides smoothly and has plenty of room for my family of 4, including our dog, when she goes with us. I like that the back end has a large open area for groceries, luggage, etc. Another feature that has come in handy is the back seats folding down to make even more room when hauling large items or many boxes. The sunroof is a fun addition.

My Hyundai Santa Fe is the perfect multi-functional car.
My car performs very well and is quite dependable. The gas mileage is great. The suspension makes all car rides comfortable. The emergency parking brake is easily accessible. The only problem with my car is that the tire pressure light is broken and is permanently on, therefore I have to manually check all my tires every so often. There is so much storage space in the car that makes traveling efficient. The steering wheel is fluid. The ac is works wonderfully.

Sante fe all day! Hyundai's version of zoom zoom!
My little SUV is great on gas, mostly comfortable and has alot of space for hauling things around. The two back seats flip forward as needed and if you are seated in the back seat they also lean back for added comfort. The sound system is decent although occasionally the volume tends to go up on its own and you can only lower it using the steering wheel controls.

Great car to drive and own.
Had a major oil leak from a gasket. It is a comfortable car and has wonderful features, except the GPS needs updated and you have to pay a fee to have that done. It is good in snow as long as you have the auto 4 wheel drive turned off. I do have an issue with the door lights, they are not bright enough. Other than that, it is a great vehicle and probably would buy it again.

Santa Fe still running good 9 years later.
Been a great vehicle. No major problems. Smaller problems like window controls stopped working on 2 out of 4 windows and door locks on drivers door quit. Opening drivers door with key is not that big of a deal. Runs great and still going! Used in town and frequent highway trips 250 miles away.

Since having my Santa Fe for 6 yrs, it's never really giving me a problem. The only thing I can think of is the gas tank cap, if it's not screw on properly it can show as a check engine on your dashboard.

The scrapping hauling machine.

Good car for tall people looking for space.
This is a very good vehicle. I got it for the large size because I adopted two great danes. Also, as I am over 6 ft tall, having solid head and leg space in all seats of the car was a must (including the back seats). The back seats fold down to give even more space. As an SUV, it is not going to have the best gas mileage, but it is good for its class. The only real downside is just an inconvenience. The battery has a covering on it that a requires a mechanic to change the battery. Therefore, you will have to pay for a mechanic visit instead of having autozone or other such places do it for free.

Only problem I've had is have to replace headlight bulbs yearly, and oil change regularly maintenance of any car. It is an incredible reliable car.
After 2 and 40,000 miles I still love this car. This was an upgrade of a prior Santa Fe that we owned. The extra cost was really worth it. The larger engine will let you accelerate into traffic smoothly, even with a full load. The AWD is great in snow and rain. The seats are nice and have plenty of legroom. I am 5 feet tall and very overweight at 3200 pounds and there is plenty of room for me. People still tell us how quiet and smooth the ride is.

I haven't had any problems with my car. I enjoy the SUV type, it helps me see better. I like being up instead of in a small car. The front has a nice console for cups. Between the two front seats has a couple different sizes of storage space. Including in the front plug in your accessories. I like that the seats fold down, for moving and transport large pieces of furniture. The rear seats will also do a split fold. Back seats are comfy and includes a middle console. Including a port in back to watch portable DVD player and or charge phone.

The most comfortable car you can get.
There are really no problems with my vehicle. It looks good on the outside and inside. It is smooth on all terrains. It is always quiet and not a loud annoying engine. The chairs on the inside are comfortable and stay clean for a long time. There is plenty of room in the trunk and plenty of legroom in the front and back. The steering is very smooth and has a nice grip on the steering wheel. The tires stay filled for a long time. The gas stays filled for a long time also. Does not eat up gas, it lasts a while. I think it is very reliable and would travel far with it because I feel safe.

The Santa Fe is just okay.
The 4 cylinder is not that great. The engine seems to hop a bit when going up and down hill. The lock on the passenger side broke as well. The heat takes a bit to heat up in the winter time. The brakes go very often too, but I guess that is because I do not commute a long way to work, just touch and go local driving.

Sunroof is the downfall only issue.
Just the sunroof has given me issues. Never heard of the holes having to be blown out. Cannot go to a certain car wash unless I want to get wet. That is my only issue. The performance is great. Gas mileage is great. It is a reliable cari would recommend it.

No key fob! It drives very well and does fantastic in the snow! I love how high up it sits. The seats are cloth and comfortable. There is plenty of room in the back and all the seats fold down. I wish the radio was more up to date however I love the Bluetooth connection. It has a pretty big gas tank that lasts a while.

If you want SantaFe, please avoid 2.4 engine option. V6 sacrifices MPG but 2.4 may have engine issue & too weak......
In general, very useful car & cool design. It has been very reliable but one bad issue (Engine failure, fortunately, under warranty) Engine is bit small considering overall size. I miss third row!

Our 2012 Santa Fe is super. It has no engine problems and it is very comfortable and roomy. Also good for tall people with long legs. It also has good storage space in the hatchback space behind the back seat. We love the vehicle. The only negative is that the upholstery is not sturdy and we have always had an extra seat pad for the front and back seats to keep them in good condition having kids and pets. Also if you are in a snowy climate, a winter set of floor mats have to be purchased separately. The performance and handling of the vehicle is excellent and we love it and would purchase another in the future.

Great small family vehicle.
This vehicle is great. Very roomy for a small family of four. Enough room in the back for road trips. Amazing on gas mileage. I love my SUV. Have had very little problems but also bought it used. The sway bar linkage on the front right side was broken. The back brakes squeak a little bit. But that is normal maintenance on every vehicle.

The best car I have ever owned.
I love my vehicle, it has front wheel drive, handles pretty well in the snow which is great since I live on a steep hill. It heats up pretty fast in the cold New England winters. The sound system is great though I wish it had Bluetooth capabilities for music since the aux port is broken. I haven't had any maintenance issues in the 4 years I have owned it and I would definitely purchase another maybe newer model next time I need a new car.

This is a wonderful vehicle. Everything is in the correct place. I reach for things and they are in the correct place. I like the trunk. It is a large trunk. There are cup holders in the backseat. The middle seat pops down and that is where you put the drinks or your armrest.

Not the best, wouldn't recommend Hyundai to friends and family.
After having the car for a little under 2 years, I have put almost 5 grand into it. Anything from small wear and tear parts and tires, to larger issues involving my rear differential. It also does not shift gears very smooth and the transmission does not seem to be the best.

Hyundai Santa Fe: all terrain and high performing family vehicle!
The Hyundai Santa Fe is a very reliable crossover vehicle, and mine has definitely held up over the previous 6 years of ownership! It has a roomy interior, with a main back and a large storage compartment behind the main back. I have not had any performance issues with it whatsoever, and would recommend it for any having to do interstate driving, in-city driving, or occasional (light) off roading, if required.

Upon purchase of my Hyundai Santa Fe, I was in the market for a mid size SUV with which I could haul kids items. I've got 2 children and they have lots of things. I was also in the market for a vehicle with a usable luggage rack, which came standard on the vehicle I purchased. This vehicle is fairly good via gas mileages and is comfortable on long road trips. Overall, this was a good purchase if you've got small children to haul around and just a few things to haul. I wish it had more storage space in the rear but for me to obtain the cargo space I want, I would have to upgrade to a large SUV.

The car is gray. The inside has tan seats & wood grain along the radio.
My car has the “eco” feature on it and to me it really does not help as far as I have noticed. However, I do enjoy the size of the car and miles to gallon. The car is very practical for my lifestyle. Easy maintenance and easy to keep clean on inside and outside.

I trust my child's safety in my vehicle 100% when we are traveling.
I like that I can hook up to Bluetooth for phone calls, music or google maps. I like being able to hook up to satellite radio if need be. I dislike how my seats in the back seat fold down. They do not go down flat.

Wow! The Hyundai Santa Fe.
This is the first Hyundai I have ever owned and I could not be happier. The car gets great gas mileage and is extremely comfortable. It looks like and SUV but drives like a car. The stereo system is outstanding and its very roomy. The trunk space is the perfect size and is able to hold much more than it seems.

Affordable and reliable option.
I have had my 2012 Santa Fe since 2013. I haven't had any major issues that were not caused by neglect or damage on my part. I would expect this vehicle to last several more years with no major issues. It is a Hyundai so it does not have the most luxurious interior (which is fine with me). My particular vehicle did not come with a sunroof or rear camera or anything like that. There is a decent amount of head and leg space, although the back seat can become cramped with 3 people. The cargo area is large and includes several extra compartments. Overall, the Santa Fe is an affordable and decent option for someone looking for extra space but is willing to skip the extra luxuries.

Plenty of room with fold down back seats.
I haven't really had any major problems with my car. I keep up with oil changes and general maintenance on it. I have driven it on several road trips and drive it daily to my job and would consider it a comfortable car to drive. I really enjoy having a hatchback and being able to fold the back seats down when I need to. It gets good gas mileage. Also has a bunch of controls for the radio and CD player on the steering wheel so you can keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road and not take your concentration off of driving.

Bad a/c great comfort features.
Problem with the a/c, every year it needs to be serviced. The hose was replaced last year and this year it needed to be charged. Also is wish the gas mileage was better, but it is not bad for an SUV. I like the electronic features like heated steering wheel and seats. I also like the auto touch trunk for putting groceries away.

I like that if my tire is low on pressure it lights up which side.
So far I enjoy it! Rides smooth its perfect size for me having 3 kids! It notifies me with what's wrong with it so clearly and so far I haven't had any issues with it! I love the storage and the mileage is ok!! I feel safe driving my car and honestly can not complain about it!!

I love it, extremely practical.
Only 2 problems. The backup cam, but its a used car s so I do not know if I can actually blame Hyundai for that and you have to purchase a cord specifically made by Hyundai to be able to charge your phone. Super wicked comfortable in the front and the back. Super spacious, I love how much room and storage I have. Superb radio and stereo. Really big sunroof. I like that the gas cover locks with a lever under the driver's seat.

I love car. It was the best thing. I could have gotten. It is good on going on long trips and having the room for extra passengers. It has a sunroof and also has four wheel drive, that comes in handy driving on the beach where I live. So if you have kids this vehicle the best way because it also has a hide way in the back so you can hide stuff the kids during Christmas time.

Great and long lasting vehicles.
The vehicle is very reliable. I haven't had to many issues with it. With regular maintenance I figure it will last for many more years. The few problems I have had was the belt went out a few months ago and had to replace it. I also have to replace the speakers because they have blown, they sounded great and I mean great but it's the end of the road for them. I also have to get the ac checked out because 1 day this summer it started leaking into the car near the pedals and has stopped working as great since. But overall it's a great car.

A good car for what it's worth.
Really good car, I would recommend. It is really good on fuel $10 will fill up half the tank. Has not had any major problems, but I have not had it for too long just a couple of months. But I am lucky my husband knows cars so he does all the car work.

Four out of five for this car.
I keep having problems with my tires deflating. I never had this issue before with other cars. The back window is small if anyone sits in the middle cannot see anything. Other than that it is a good car. Not too small but not an overpowering huge car.

It's a good car but repairs are expensive.
It is a great car. Good gas mileage and a/c. I did have to replace the alternator at 55,000 miles which I wasn't happy about and it cost a $1000! But overall it's a good car. It has more buttons than I know what to do with.

I love that the outside of this car still has the look of a modern SUV.
The ride is smooth. I hardly have engine issues with this car. The interior is nice and durable. It is an older car now but the look is still nice and sleek looking modern. The dashboard is a lil outdated where the radio area is. It is still lights up with a blue display light but it can still mp3 to a phone which is still good.

2012 Honda Santa Fe. Very effective, spacious.
I have owned the vehicle for 8 years. It is very effective and efficient during any weather, especially rain and snow. I like the shape of the car and size, not too big or small; roomy. It can hold up to five persons. Spacious back trunk it just recently just started to give problems but nothing not fixable.

Comfortable seating & space for driver & passengers. Easy maintenance schedule, and finding service for vehicle. Exterior design enhances ability to achieve good gas mileage. This model does not come equipped with GPS or back-up camera, though there are aftermarket products that can be installed.

You cannot go wrong with the 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe limited.
The only problem I have is the automatic all wheel drive feature, but you can turn it off. It makes me uncomfortable because it makes your tires spin at first. Other than that, the only issue I have if trying to figure out the fog lights not working and the interior dome lights. It seems pretty difficult to change a light bulb. Otherwise, I am happy with the vehicle overall. It is comfortable to ride in and has not had any major breakdown and it now has 105,200 miles.

Car review of Santa Fe 2012.
So far we have not run into any problems since it was bought second hand. Just had to replace tires. But it travels and rides well with lots of room. Nice for having a baby one you love to a bigger car seat. We love the heated seats on chilly mornings. Overall a great car.

I think my vehicle was just a lemon. Other people love their Hyundai Santa fe. There is a decent amount of space in the rear "trunk" area. Wouldn't recommend for large families
I didn't have much choice when purchasing. It has been difficult to maintain and very costly. I don't care for the way it handles in the snow. I have had a lot of major problems which have been costly.
