This is by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned since the 1990s (including previous Toyota, Honda, Mazda). The automatic transmission is way too rough (lurching and thumping) when starting, stopping and cornering. This makes the driving experience terrible (other than pure highway driving which is fine). I hate this vehicle and I can’t wait to buy a better replacement from a more competent car manufacturer … a clunky transmission in a brand new modern car is completely unacceptable and I will avoid Mazda for the rest of my life! Terrible quality, awful driving experience, very disappointed.

Piece of Junk
I bought this vehicle expecting a safe, reliable driving experience. What I got is garbage. The automatic transmission is terrible, which makes driving this car awful. I avoid using this CX-5 whenever possible because of the rough shifting of the transmission. Most starting, stopping and cornering is accompanied by lurching and thumping in the low gears, making this by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned since the 1990s (including Toyota, Honda, Mazda). Very disappointing, poor quality, bad experience! I have completely lost my trust in the Mazda brand.

The cx-5, beautiful design, amazing handling.
The comfort and style of the 2021 Mazda cx-5 is amazing. It makes you feel like you are driving a luxury vehicle. I love the handling. I am used to drive smaller cars, but I do not feel like I am driving a larger car. I certainly recommend this SUV. You'll want to drive it further and further.
