Looks are NOT everything!
I like it because it's sharp & fast. I Dislike because the A/C doesn't work & to many motor problems.

It has never cause me any problems.
I love my Eclipse I have had it since 2001 and it has been reliable it is never broke down on me and it is the paint is chipped a little bit in the interior crack but overall it is an excellent vehicle I recommend this vehicle to anyone that is looking for a nice vehicle.

Overall good sporty car for the money.
Not many problems with it. Leaking oil, rusting of the gas tank, comfortable seating, had a distributor go out, not too bad on gas (v6) and had to replace a few gaskets. Have had the car for about 10 years and besides changing tires and the normal maintenance it hasn't been too much of a hassle car.

I love it, it doesnt love me back
Nice and reliable, but things start going bad at 100k miles. Wonderfully fun and easy to drive. Handles smooth.

Front end looks amazing and intimidating
Very reliable. Just old and on its last legs. This has been my first car and has been a very good one lasting me several years. It's just now began to finally wear down to where it's time to just let it go. I would definitely purchase a newer version of this car.

Skipping
Everything was good til bout the 3rd day. Then it got louder n sounded like a deeper rumbling. Sounded like it was bout to skip. Became jumpy. Thot maybe a vacuum hose or something but couldn't find anything. The fuel pump is a bit loud so I made sure Ihad more than a quarter tank of gas n I put plus to see if it made a difference but it didn't. I'm new to this car so I'm trying to learn it so I know bout my car. Not too happy bout the V6 part but I like the get up n go it has... When it's running right. Any info helps. Thanks.

Mitsubishi Eclipse: pretty okay car
It's kind of small and compact. It sits really low and there's virtually no room in the back seats for your legs. Don't like the tinted windows. Stereo is not too loud, wish it was louder. Poor ac system. Other than that pretty okay. It gets good gas mileage. Had to recently fix the belt and pulley.

Great Feel, Sporty Design Fantastic mileage loads of storage
Wonderful road feel and pick up 25 mi to the gallon on the road. Lots of room to haul things. The feel of a comfort car and the looks of a sport car

Reliability of the Mitsubishi Eclipse
The car is pretty reliable but it has its flaws. It's no sports car but I find it takes a while for it to accelerate once my foot is on the gas. The small build of the car allows me to feel like I have a lot of control while driving. The steering and brakes are also very sharp and it helps me stay in control while driving. I find the miles per gallon on this car to be better than many cars and it is really fuel efficient. I wish the seats had a feature that allowed them to elevate instead of just going forwards and backwards. I think the battery life on the car could be improved, I often find myself just listening to the radio without driving and noticing the battery starting to die out. Also even though the car is only a two doors I feel the back seats could use just a little more space.

2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse get, a classic to the end.
I love my Eclipse. I have owned my car for 10 years and have had no major issues with, only routine maintenance. The only flaw in the car is the paint, but I have seen other cars of the same year with the exact same issues. The car has lasted as my daily driver.

Cruising my spyder eclipse gs
It is hard to get in and out of. It is not meant to be a family car. It has 2 doors and no leg room. But when alone it drives nice. Put the top down. And cruise. It is fairly good on gas. We had to replace the top due to deterioration. It looks really nice cruising with the top down.

That it is great on gas. It has a few dings and Dangs. But all and all a wonderful car.
I love that it is good on gas. I like my sunroof and leather interior. But most of all I love the freedom it gives me.

The fold down back seat provides a lot of room for a small car.
It sits a little low in traffic. The radio is very good. The controls are easily accessible. The factory tint is just ok. The defroster is good for the front and back windows, but the door windows are difficult to defrost. The seat belt cuts into the neck, so I use a towel. The tail in the back sits a little high, so it can obstruct the vision thru the back window. I wish the car would indicate when the battery is low and the power steering is running low.

The eclipse is a cute, sporty car that's reliable.
My car is an awesome little sports car. It's a bit older but has such a nice, sporty look. It's been very reliable with regular oil changes.

Dream import, sporty nature.
Reliable and great performance has never let me down. Great mileage, do not have to really spend that much on gas to be honest. Only complaint is not much space but its too be expected for a sporty vehicle. Repairs can be expensive since its an import but in my opinion imports are better and more reliable. The sunroof is really nice and you can feel the breeze.

It is spacious and can surprisingly fit a lot of items in it. Very reliable car!.
I love how smooth is feels when its driven but after approximately 100k miles electric starts going on this type of a car. Which is a huge issue.

Gasoline hungry but great performance.
It is great on speed and traction. But horrible on gas. The dashboard was made with the worst plastic ever. It has a problem with the ignition system, but cheaply fixable. All in all it's a decent car to own. I would recommend it to anyone. For the year of the car, I expected a worse condition.

They don't make them like they used to! And super sporty and fun to drive!
It's a convertible and very fun to drive! It's bright red and very sporty looking!

Great car to have if you want to learn about engines!
When I first got my car, it had some engine problems but nothing too big. I fixed them and now it runs smoothly! I love the car and I love it being a convertible! Next thing I have to do to the car is fix the seals on the roof since it does leak which happens with old convertibles but honestly, I could care less about the leak because it is such a great car so that one problem is nothing compared to everything else.

Great car to buy: a lot of work but it is worth it.
I bought my car used with about 10, 000 miles on it probably a bit more. It did have a lot of problems engine wise and I did put in a lot of work into the car. But I am happy I got it because I love this car. I love how fast it is and how even though I drive it for small road trips almost every week, it still runs great.

Read buyer ratings first before purchasing any vehicle.
There have been many factory issues like the paint, internal overheating, and other recalls.
