It will get you there in any weather
The perfect car for snow & skiing. The clearance is a little low, hits my driveway curb. Low maintenance cost
accountCircle Tom G
Dependable and safe car is a joy to drive.
The Subaru handles very well and has limited maintenance issues. Gas mileage is ok, not great. Enjoy the convenience of the hatchback and the small size of the car. The car is very comfortable. One deficit: quality of the sound of radio is rather poor. Quite tiny.
accountCircle Annemarie B
This car is amazing in snow. You don't even realize that you're driving in it.
It's an amazing car. Fantastic in the snow and bad weather, rides smoothly and isn't horrible on gas.
accountCircle Miriam K
Best affordable and fun car.
Honestly one of the best and most affordable cars out there. I have had it for 6 years now and it is still so reliable. I have had a couple of accidents and never had any injuries, just needed the car to be fixed and it was always easy to fix. The drive is smooth, the maintenance is very affordable and easy. I recently had 2 recalls which Subaru covered completely. It has been the best car for me in all aspects.

2013 Subaru Impreza - the perfect all situations car.
I love my Subaru Impreza. It is incredibly reliable, great in snow, and small enough to park around the city. I get good gas mileage on road trips. It is got nice features like heated seats and Bluetooth phone connection. I love the all wheel drive for mountain trips on dirt roads and camping.
accountCircle Justine L
I love my subaru it's always reliable and good on mileage. One of the best things about Subaru is their safety features there's nothing better than feeling safe in your car
They one most important thing people should know about Subaru is their safety features

2013 Hatchback with remote start
I haven't had any issues with this vehicle. As long as you keep up with your preventive maintenance everything will run smoothly. I put 60,000 miles on this car and I've been across the country multiple times in the past 2 years and it has been very reliable. Get you a Subaru.
accountCircle marisa o
It is very safe and dependable.
My car is very dependable. Gets great gas mileage, and has all of the features I wanted- sunroof, navigation system, great stereo, safe vehicle, etc. The only complaint I have is that the driver's seat is not automatic.

Negative Owner Reviews

Great car, horrible sound.
I love this car for a lot of reasons: great gas mileage, spacious, comfortable seats, and versatile for commuter and long-distance driving. But when you go more than 25 mph the sound gets terrible: it sounds like an airplane taking off!! Also, the clearance is a 1/2' shy to be versatile for off-roading/exploring purposes.
accountCircle Grace D
That Subaru that everyone has but nobody really likes
The seats are really uncomfortable after a few years and I definitely don't get the MPG that was advertised.
accountCircle Christiana D
There’s really nothing interesting about the vehicle.
My key frequently gets stuck in the ignition when I turn off the vehicle. This problem is not dependent on the wheel being crooked or not being in park fully. It is an issue with the sensor not detecting that my car is in park. In addition, the airbag sensor stayed on for no reason.
accountCircle Haley M
Functional but there are better options out there.
I like the car in general. However, I recently purchased this current vehicle and it has been mostly a headache with engine problems and dealing with the local Subaru dealership.
accountCircle Linda D
It is paid for and I love it.
I do not like the size of the vehicle. I should have bought a bigger car. Other than the size, I like everything about it.
accountCircle Hell N
It is a good size and easy to drive.
I like the size and 4 wheel drive. I dislike the fact that I've had to get it serviced many times and it is not that old.
accountCircle Jess F
Not the best purchase. Read up on it.
This car was not a cheap purchase. Although it had very few miles, there are many problems with this car. The brake lines have been recalled. The Key keeps constantly getting stuck in the ignition. Recently, we couldn't even remove it by changing gears again like we usually do. We had to wait until the battery died and I was finally able to remove. It's a nice car but could be better.

Reliable car, easily stained interior, not great speakers.
The car is a reliable drive. It is not very luxurious and the speakers blew fairly easily, however it was an affordable purchase. The car runs very well for a daily driver with a 60 mile round trip commute daily. The only feature that is worth speaking about it the handsfree Bluetooth options on the steering wheel.

2013 Subaru Impreza hatchback.
Handles well in bad weather. I do not feel like there are major blind spots in backing up, without a camera or other electronic aids. Paint chips easily and have had to have hood repaired within 3 months of purchasing it brand new. Was covered under warranty. Back seats fold down easily to transport cargo. Deck lid does not always stay in place: rolls out like a shade and can snap back up as there’s no lock to secure it in place when extended. Easy to load and unload cargo from back. Tailgate is easily opened and shut, but cargo needs to be totally clear and not close to tailgate for complete shut. Windshield wipers leave snow to collect in the bottom corner of the driver’s side windshield, which can cause some visual distraction in minor storm and major problem in heavier storm - needing to manually clear the build up even when wipers are working in perfect order as designed.

Perfect for people drive a fair distance for work.
Perfect car for commuting, miles per gallon is very solid and overall is very reliable car. Can get you wherever you need to go and is very comfortable. Bluetooth for your phone and also USB ports, hands free controlling on the steering wheel. A car I would recommend.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Morgan S.

Beautiful white color. Easy to drive for both long and short distances. Love manual over automatic. Hatchback is the best for travel. This car has great mileage. Plenty of room for both me and the passengers.

likeFilled Evan C.

Good Gas mileage, backup camera, has 4 doors and fits 4-5 people. Comes in a multitude of colors, the car has seat warmers and a charger port in the console. It is intuitive and a good car to have. I like it.

likeFilled Renee F.

The car is good in weather, I do not worry about it dying when I am on the road, trustworthy, easy to drive, right size for my family and has just enough room for them and groceries, perfect fit for parking straight in or backwards, Warms up quickly in cold weather.

likeFilled Bando U.

I am short and am able to see over the front hood of the car perfectly. It has good inside vehicle options for music and heating/air conditioning. It is also a very low maintenance vehicle to take care of (is also not a gas 'hog').

likeFilled Gina R.

My car has an amazing turning radius (I can flip around in very tight area without doing a 3-point turn... Best I have ever seen), very limited blind spots (I feel I see everything), 4-wheel drive (which makes me feel safe like I am not going to spin out of control), very roomy inside.

likeFilled Hunter G.

It has room for my groceries and my son's stuff. It is safe for my son. The legroom in the driver's seat is comfortable. Bluetooth make it easy to talk to friends/family while driving. The aux port for iOS and android is convenient for all family to use.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Morgan S.

Too low to the ground. On uneven paved roads the bottom of my car often scraps. Maintenance can be very expensive. The tan interior is my biggest issue because it stains so easily. Aside from that I really do not have any other complaints. I love this car so much.

dislikeFilled Evan C.

The cons are mostly subjective, but I do not like when the car beeps to alert me that there is something nearby. I know it is a safety feature but I am an alert driver and when it goes off multiple times it is very redundant and annoying. It also does not have a CD player in the car.

dislikeFilled Renee F.

The back window seems too small when looking through the rearview mirror which makes it harder to back out of parking, The blind spot on both sides is too small making merging difficult, Bluetooth has glitches when trying to set it up and when it is supposed to connect.

dislikeFilled Bando U.

There is no Bluetooth music ability as music has to be played through a USB or aux cord from your own device if you want to play your own music. No sun/moon roof to allow more air in the vehicle, as well as no heated seat ability for the wintertime. If you are looking for a car with a lot of storage/space there is not much of it.

dislikeFilled Gina R.

Slow take off, a few random things have broken... Window, fan control (can only use level 4 so when I have air conditioner/heater going I have to have it on full blast), CD player is broken. All cons are very minor.

dislikeFilled Hunter G.

There are a few rattling sounds that the mechanic could not figure out. Sometimes it takes a while for the ac to get cool enough. The heated seats shut themselves off after a certain amount of time and do not come back on unless you manually turn them off then back on again.

Is The 2013 Subaru Impreza A Good Car?

The Subaru is a very reliable car. I need a car that gets me from point a to point b and this car does it. The car was well made and it's just a simple vehicle to us.
Jen L.
It is a comfortable, reliable, and durable vehicle. It has only had a couple of minor issues since I began using it. I enjoy it.
Terra T.
I believe it is. Efficient and economical. Gets great gas mileage, and has more room on the inside than you would think.
Joshua H.
Absolutely! It is reliable, easy to work on, has limited issues. I have been driving it since it was brand new.
Kendra A.

How Reliable Is The 2013 Subaru Impreza?

I have not had any major problems with this car. Just the normal wear and tear for maintenance. It's a really reliable car.
Jen L.
Lately it has been giving me trouble starting, but it is a good quality car otherwise. I have not had any other issues so far and I would describe this care as reliable.
Terra T.
I have been running into a few issues with the battery, but I believe that is because I live in a cold area. The car sits too low to the ground as well.
Joshua H.
Nope never had any major issues. All repairs are routine maintenance. I like my little Subaru and have always drove them.
Kendra A.

Is The 2013 Subaru Impreza A Good Value?

About twenty thousand for this car, that's the average price for a basic car these days. It does not matter what kind of car I get that's the normal price.
Jen L.
It costs $15-18,000 dollars. I believe that this is a pretty fair price for the quality given. I think that prices could always be better, but all things considered this is pretty fair.
Terra T.
Right now, my car is valued at $8,000. I believe it should be worth more because of how efficient and economical it is.
Joshua H.
I am not sure what it is value is now, however they seem to hold value pretty well. I bought it brand new.
