My vehicle is a metallic blue, very shiny got little sparkles too. Love how it.
No problems it is amazing it drives well and very smooth I have almost never had no problems with my vehicle. It is very roomy for the whole family, allowing everyone to get as comfortable as needed. I have had this car for about 6 years now and it is always been dependable.

Best car for your budget and environment.
No really issue with the vehicle, for purchasing it used with a decent amount of miles, it is done very well. As with all Toyota cars it is very reliable, comfortable and affordable. I would recommend my car to anyone looking for something that is long term and relatively cheap and better for the environment.

Best car I have ever driven.
The car is amazing, the room inside the car is amazing, you can either fit a lot of people or a lot of groceries and other items. The battery part of the car is incredible and saves me money on gas because I do not have to fill up for 2 weeks. The performance is better than expected and it drives so well and I do not want a different car.

Great gas mileage and reliable car. Amazing features including sun/moon roof.
I have had no problems with reliability or comfort or features or performance. The only issue I have had is a strange noise while turning and accelerating. The space is amazing for a family with third row seating. I also wish the Bluetooth would hook up to my phone to play music. Newer models have this feature.

It's great for taking the family camping!
I have not owned this vehicle for very long, but I have not had a single problem with it. The highlander has plenty of space for my wife, dog, and all of our camping gear when we go on weekends. For a large car, the gas mileage is quite reasonable. I live in an area where it snows quite a lot, but I have no problems traveling in bad weather. The car has about 160,000 miles on the car now and I have not had any issues with it's reliability or performance. The stereo system is adequate. The sound quality is great! The air conditioning system works very well. Overall, the car is excellent and would recommend it to anyone!

Toyota does it again with the Toyota highlander hybrid.
The Toyota hybrid has been an amazing vehicle. It gets great gas mileage for being a mid size SUV. It has plenty of room for my family of four. We are able to fit all of our luggage and the kids things for long road trips. The engine is also well powered, when you need to get up and go it does not take much to get up to speed easily. We have had no maintenance issues other than regular oil changes and tires. I would highly recommend this vehicle to those with a family looking for comfort and reliability.

Highlander hybrid: long lasting and worth the money.
My vehicle is highly reliable. While there has been routine upkeep, it is still in great shape and is going to be around for a while. About a year ago I had to replace the battery, but that was the last time I had any issues with it. Average mileage is 24 mph on the highway and 20 in the neighborhood, although that does fluctuate. I love my car and would highly recommend it. The only issues I have currently are that the radio is a little outdated and that the air conditioning needs a little work.

It is a great car for travel as it is not huge and gets great gas mileage!
The car is fantastic for someone who travels often, whether that be for work, pleasure, whatever. Its mileage per gallon of gas is incredible! And it is super cheap to fill the tank since it is a hybrid car. The car is 10 years old and still driving nicely except for a minor wobbly feeling here and there when you hit over 70 miles an hour.

Toyota highlander is a reliable, but somewhat bulky SUV.
As a SUV it is not really suitable to drive within the crowded streets of New York city, the brake pad also tend to wear out fast, but that may be due to the spontaneous jay walkers in NYC. For a 10 year old car, it has been pretty reliable. During covid19 lockdown, I did have to restart my car battery.

It is all wheel drive. It can get me places safely in bad weather.
It has a very small trunk space. Sometimes while idling it jumps because it is switching into hybrid mode. Gas mileage is not as great as I expecting for a hybrid. The rear ac does not lock when synced to the front ac. Meaning my toddler can adjust the rear with her foot in the car seat and it turns the heat on vs ac.

Toyota hybrid. Reliable for years.
Very reliable. Comfort wise I feel the seat belt rubs my neck and feels rough even if I adjust it down for a shorter person. Everything works as it is supposed to. We rarely use the 3rd seat but it is nice to have. If the 3rd seat is used the cargo space is very limited. The Bluetooth connection is lacking but it may be due to the year it was made. It is difficult to hear on it so I do not use it. There is plenty of small storage and the seating is comfortable. I like the light grey leather interior. It does not show dirt like black would. I would like a new car but cannot justify one as this car is very reliable, paid for, and I have had very few issues. I keep it serviced regularly. I am concerned about the hybrid battery now that the vehicle is 10 years old but it still reads as very strong. I did have a strange rattling noise. Under the dashboard but it comes and goes and has not affected the functionality of the vehicle. The look of the vehicle does not look old despite being 10 years old. I have owned this car since 2013.

Highlander hybrid - roomy, efficient & reliable.
I bought my highlander because I was at the point in life where I had 2 young kids who would need to be shuttled around a lot in the coming years. I never thought of myself as an SUV type - I care about the environment and couldn't reconcile that vision with an SUV. That is why the highlander hybrid worked for me - I could have the space of an SUV with better fuel efficiency. I have now had my vehicle for 9 years and have never had any serious problems - just routine maintenance type of work. We've taken many long road trips in our highlander - 2 adults, 2 kids, the family dog and enough gear for a month away from home. It is been incredibly comfortable, reliable and fuel efficient. The only reason I would consider not buying another highlander is that I am moving out of that phase in life where I need a large vehicle. If I decide to stick with an SUV, I would definitely buy another highlander.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Zane W.

Excellent gas mileage and storage. Excellent handling and comfort. Excellent safety features. Heated seats, side mirrors and Bluetooth connectivity are a great added feature. Reverse camera is a good addition.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Zane W.

Larger tires are more expensive. Third row is cramped for anyone above 5 foot tall. Cigarette lighter/ charger port is difficult to use when cup holders are in use due to their placement. Auxiliary cord location is also difficult to use due to its proximity to the shifter.
